Nice to see the place looking almost better than ever. Tom's is a community staple and have been here from decades. Infamous for being front and center during the riots back in 1992. The 1400 block of Florence, main intersection is Florence and Normandie the same intersection where the riots really kicked off and where Reginald Denny drove his truck and was beaten. They are trying to still build up the community here and get back on their feet...

Recently moved in from out of town and I think that the owner must be from Texas because every time I visit this store there's about 4-8 gentlemen wearing Texas Ranger hats who I assume are fans of the team. On several occasions I've heard some of them repeat the phrase "f*** naps" which is probably is the reason why the energy drinks are low in stock. Nonetheless this store has almost everything you need minus the Backwoods Cigars and Sprite Cranberry sodas which also always seem to be sold out for some reason. Regardless 8/10 would recommend!

I love their absinthe, rum, whiskey, gin, scotch, fine wine, meed, vodka, etc. I've been buying more decent liquors for my cousins at a reasonable price. Got a good buzz. Some brands of booze are MUCH cheaper than the Walmart near Crenshaw. I'm totally respect this store, it survived the 1992 Rodney King massive civil unrest, the 1994 earthquakes and the great recession of 2007- ongoing and STILL in business. KUDOS TOM!!!

The owner is really kind and good. It sells alcohol at MUCH cheaper price. Especially there are 3 flavors of VINIQ! It's really awesome liquor store in LA :)

iconic historical landmark, national building. Turistic Attraction that should stand next to the Hollywood Sign, Griffith Observatory or Lampost
