I've dropped my stars down because this location gaslit me about a particular liqueur potentially not being made any more. I found some stock in Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo, thinking they might be the last ones. I went to the location in SLO and I asked about whether they were indeed no longer produced. Turns out that Goleta and Santa Maria BevMos just have a different distributor and cannot get a dry Curacao! I'm a bit salty that they can't import one from SB. I live in Lompoc so it is quite a drive in either direction. I suppose there could be a legal matter as to why they can't just get a bottle from a sister store the next city over. Annoyingly orgeat syrup from Trader Vic's and Flernum must also be on the restricted distribution list because SM and Goleta are in the same desert for tiki drink making! It's a real travesty, if not a controversy! Oh the scandal! I wish they'd have just been honest or maybe thorough when they told me that it wasn't available in SM and Goleta.

Tue, 02/14/2023 - 08:30 PM An update. Today after waiting a short while for service, the young person there asked for ID. That annoyed me! I opened my wallet and reluctantly showed it to him, he demanded I remove it. Why am I so annoyed? 1/ I am nearly 72 years old! 2/ I WAS BUYING SODA. Needless to say I will never be shopping there again. Fri, 01/27/2023 - 06:26 PM Service needs to improve. Slow service + high prices = sorry I will not shop here. Older. Friendly, well stocked. Prices a little higher than I would like.

"BevMo Money" is what we call it. Always thinking that we can get a good deal, but it's always the same. They sell the plonk at a special "buy one overpriced bottle and get the second for a nickel"! No deals here. Everything is expensive. I'm guessing they haven't yet gone bankrupt due to their pickled customers not realizing the screw job going on! Stay away and support your neighborhood shops or Trader Joe's.

The tall brown haired cashier was so belittling and aggressive when I tried to solve an issue with my ID calmly without making a scene. She ruined my experience and embarrassed herself in front of those around me as well. I guess that’s on her though. The shorter gray haired worker was an angel and he helped level out my frustration. He deserves a raise.
