Mike at Buddy’s Booze was very helpful. They have a great selection and Mike knew his whiskey. So happy this shop opened up on Lower Greenville!

I have been buying from corner store for the past 2.5 years, and buddy’s booze since it opened. Recently I bought a bottle of crema tequila from them for cocktails. A few weeks later open the bottle and mix the cocktails, they taste like vomit. The bottle they sold me was 5 YEARS expired. I return to the store and the same cashier that sold me the bottle is behind the counter. Mind you, I have frequented this store for quite a while. I showed him the bottle, and he said “oh you didn’t buy that here” and was extremely rude. He also stated that he won’t give me the refund and that I could “come back tomorrow and talk to the owner if I have a problem with it.” After showing him the receipt, he finally, reluctantly, gave me a refund. The best part is…he literally scanned the bottle for the refund…after saying I didn’t buy the bottle at buddy’s. Not a single time did anyone apologize, nor did they offer to give me a refund. I had to insist on a refund after they sold me a bottle that was 5 YEARS expired. Not to mention the thousands of dollars I have spent between buddy’s/corner store over the past few years. Beware of this place. If it’s close to where you live, don’t do what I did. Drive somewhere else.

Awesome neighborhood liquor store with a nice assortment of liquor and a walk-in beer fridge with lots of varieties. Conveniently located on lower Greenville. The staff and owner are also super friendly and eager to help you find what you are looking for.
