Well they don't carry the cheap stuff and they are over priced to extremes. There is no greeting, bad attitude all the way around. And they sit on a chair all day! What are you mad about? You sit down all day!

I have to admit, there was one employee who was a rather gruff dude. Not quite unfriendly, but off-putting enough it made me reluctant to stop in. I haven't seen him in ages, and the service is very friendly now. They don't have the selection of a megastore, but they have everything you'll need. Fair prices, too. Maybe a dollar or so more than the megastores, but it is nice to support local. The only reason this location gets 4 stars is because they don't get the store picks like some of the other Village Liquor locations do. I stopped in once and inquired if they had a pick that I saw at the Garden Oaks location (that I passed up at the time but later decided I shouldn't have), and they said no. A week or so later I stopped in and asked again and was told they don't get them, and that I'd have to go to Garden Oaks. It's a shame they don't spread the wealth among their stores (note that they do get SOME store picks, but they seem to be ones that languish on the shelf).

Great location and great customer service! Staff is always super helpful and knowledgeable about their products. They have a variety of liquors. Some of their inventory Spec's doesn't even have! Been going here for about 4 years now and will continue to frequent.
