I only rate 5 stars if deserving. I frequently go to Kings Liquor store right near TCU, they have a very huge selection of beer, wine and spirits and very friendly helpful staff.

The Good: The staff at Kings is excellent. They all know the store and products available very well. Staff is always kind and very knowledgeable. The bad: The owner price gouges worse than any store i have ever seen. I was on a call list for a new bottle of whiskey that was recently released. I was very much so looking forward to it. When I got the call, the owner had marked the Bottle at $599 (other stores were under $100). Same goes for any other “high end” liquor. The pricing is outrageous. Love the staff and have always enjoyed visiting with them while i am in. But it’s hard to support a business that is ran by someone who is fine screwing everyone over.

Good prices and the kind of customer service you get from a small family-owned business - knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful!

Came here after I went to Spec’s and there were no less than 40 people in line (it was the day before a holiday) and they were out of the beer I wanted. Not only did Kings have the beer I wanted (3 6 packs!) but they also had no line and super friendly cashiers. Came back a few weeks later and once again they had what I wanted and no line. Will only shop here for my alcohol from now on.
