The new Skip's location is tucked in the heart of downtown San Marcos across from the street from Torchy's. Stop by for a large selection of all your favorites or try a Skips Single Barrel Pick sometime!

Love this place. Attending made a beer suggestion and is now one of my favorite beers.

Great local liquor store, although the real prize is the craft beer selection! Beats the craft beer selection you can find at HEB and make-your-own-six-pack prices are fantastic.

I've been disappointed with this store for about 6 months now but have been giving them the benefit of the doubt because of Covid supply issues. The ONLY reason that I go is because it is the closest store to my house as a convenience. They have gone without liquor deliveries and in-stocks through holidays, major events, and regular daily business. Every time I'm in they say that they are going to be getting deliveries but the selection is always poor. As a result they are overcharging for their product. I went in tonight and didn't find the whiskey that I was looking for, (as usual) but went to get a 6 pack of Ultra Lime for a friend. It was 10.99 for a 6 pack. Unbelievable. I left and went across the street to the gas station and it was 8.99. Very disappointed for what I thought was an exciting local new business. Terrible in-stocks and over pricing is not a good recipe for success.

Really bad customer service! My husband and I went in to buy a large bottle of Evan Williams bourbon. The sticker on the shelf said $28.99 however, it was ringing up $26.99. The cashier called the manager up front and he made a few very weak attempts to put the $28.99 into the system (he even had the sticker in his hand) and then proceeded to tell us that he couldn’t sell us the bottle of bourbon! He offered to sell us a different bottle (one that my husband doesn’t like) but would not sell us the bottle we wanted. We were regular customers however, we definitely will NOT be returning.
