At Delta Dirt Distillery, you’ll meet an amazing family with a heartwarming story about a sharecropper’s grandkids who now own and farm the land. You’ll hear about how they use the sweet potatoes from their farm to make vodka, how they take the runoff back to the farm for the cows, and you’ll see a father, mother, and two sons working their tails off to be the best and first black owned farm to table distillery in America. They are also the first black owned distillery in Arkansas. Must mention their juniper flavored gin and smooth sweet potato vodka and how I didn’t get out of there without two bottles of each and some t-shirts. Their menu is creative and tasty. They are kind and smiley even when busy. And their bourbon is coming. Wow. Wow. Wow. I’ll be back. And with more friends. Memphis business owners you need to get into this asap. You’ll want it on your shelves and while your at it maybe invest in their restaurant they plan to place next door. If I had the $$. This place will be a gold mine one day.

Wow! This place is a symbol of all that is good in America! The Williams family - Harvey, Donna and their two sons - started this business a year ago. They came up with their own mixture for their beverages and grow the sweet potatoes on their nearby farm. Their establishment is attractive, welcoming and comfortable. They are exceptionally friendly and positive. The Delta Dirt Distillery is a first step towards restoring Helena to its former glory. This is the American Dream in action! Highly recommended!

I had a great time in my two days in Helena, and Delta Dirt was the highlight. The tour was very interesting, and the tasting was a real treat. Best of all, in addition to the friendly owners and the beautiful facility, was the Blue Raspberry Martini! Highly recommended!!

First time visiting and I absolutely loved Delta Dirt. The Vodka is amazing! Being made from sweet potatoes gives it a unique taste. The Staff is friendly, the Owners are real good people. Great cocktails and atmosphere. I love that you can see the distillery from the bar. Great concept, great addition to Historic West Helena.

Visited the distillery on Saturday afternoon with my family while in Helena (my Dads hometown). Very impressed with not only the family’s story, but also how well they rehabbed the building in which they function. The tour guide was warm, funny and engaging. We also were given samples of the vodka, which was STRONG (86 proof). I’m so proud that I had the opportunity to support the only Black farm owned distillery, as well as support the local economy. I hope the movers and shakers of Helena pay attention and find a way to cultivate more businesses in the old downtown strip that reflect the landscape of its citizens in the future.
