Love Mr.B’s. It’s been my go-to liquor store since moving to downtown Denver. Staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable about their wine selection. Recommend highly!

Good selection and fair prices, but when I went to check out, the person at the counter said they’ll need to see my friend’s ID as well. This would typically be a very fair request with how strict Colorado liquor laws are, but in this scenario the issue is that I was not there with a friend! Some guy behind me was there to buy nicotine or something and like 19 years old, I said I didn’t know him and he also had a confused look like “Yeah no clue who this” Yet the person at the counter insisted that I couldn’t buy alcohol with a minor, even though we didn’t know each other at all. I believe he too was unable to check out and buy his ZYNs, because they don’t sell anything to anyone under 21, so I wish Mr. B’s would just ID at the door immediately. If you go in and see someone that you don’t know who may be under the age of 21, there is a good chance Mr. B’s will not sell to you even if you are total stranger to each other.

Mr. B’s is great! Their staff was super knowledgeable and guided me through their excellent mezcal and liqueur selection. I will definitely be returning to keep my home bar stocked!

A little expensive, but well-organized with many imports. The staff was a little snippy. I would suggest keeping eyes out for sales, because many dated seasonal items stick around at great prices! It's one of the few places in the immediate area that you can pick up a decent non-souvenir gift. Convenient if you have rented a nearby loft in vacation!
