Ordinarily I would give this store five stars. I’ve been a customer for a long time. Never had any issues. The staff has been great and helpful. Recently a bottle of a favorite wine tasted like vinegar. It happens. I returned it last week and was refunded. Bought three more of the same wine. I trust local businesses. Again a problem. First two bottles were also bad. I gave them a chance. These had a vinegar taste and aftertaste. I just returned all three. But not without suspicion and an argument from owner, Lauren. She then embarrassed me by opening the wine in front of other customers, tasting it and telling me there was nothing wrong with it. Yes. She gave me a refund. But reluctantly. She was rude. Sometimes bad bottles get into the mix. It happens. Trust the customers who trust you.

The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to help you. You cannot beat their prices! They have a wide variety of wines and spirits to choose from.

I have been a loyal customer since this store opened. I buy cases of wine at a time. Today I visited to pick up a case of my favorite wine. See photo below. I did not see it on the shelves and asked the manager, a young woman, about it. She told me that not only did they not have it in the store, but that they NEVER carried it and I was mistaken. After spending hundreds of dollars in this store on this wine and other wines, I asked her just to look it up in the computer. She laughed at me and walked away. I suggested that she might have spoken to me more respectfully by saying that she was not aware of carrying that wine in the store, not that I was essentially lying to her about my former purchases. I suggested that it was poor customer service to tell a client that she was essentially lying about this. She just yelled across the store again about my "mistake". I left the store, quite disappointed and insulted. I will take my business elsewhere; apparently the owners here have not trained their manager to be respectful to older people or they are not aware that this goes on there.. As a business owner myself, I feel badly for the store owners as this young woman may be misrepresenting them to the community.

After going to write a review for this wonderful establishment I noticed a new review where a lady was deeply upset with her experience. I’ve never dealt with a bad worker at the liquor wine warehouse in island park and even when they are having obviously stressful or awful days, they still put customers first. This business doesn’t have a history of problems, besides negative reviews left by customers who probably also weren’t having a good day. As mentioned before hand, Susan should know especially because her business deals with mental health. It’s easy to point fingers but regardless of one bad experience, communication is key and negative reviews don’t help a business without both the customer and business communicating so that both parties are happy. With what I presume is hundreds of customers going in and out of everyday, I wouldn’t let a couple negative reviews tarnish a business especially this one that is so friendly and professional 365 days out of the year.

This store engages in false advertising. I picked up a bottle of wine with the price tag clearly stating $12.99. It scanned $13.99 at the cash register. This is my first and last time shopping here. 3.28.22 It was Beringer Bros Bourbon Barrel Aged Chardonnay. And NO, there was no price per case and $12.99 was the only price stated.
