I wish I can give a review without giving a star, I was called in for a interview and I wanted to share my experience, The first day I went to Bowery & vine I was super excited to be working in a wine & spirit store, I love learning about different cultures, wine and spirit has a lot background to it. So my first day I met Bill and the owner I can't remember his name just his attitude, Bill had me fill out an application and then immediately put me on register he never discussed my pay or had any acceptance letter he just asked if I get behind the register. The girl who showed me how to work the register was pretty nice, after a about 20 mins bill said I can go home and he'll call me the next day to let me know to come in. Bill called and asked if I can come in the following day, I came in! I was super early but ready to work. First the owner I believe his name is Rob was not so welcoming he was super rude to me. Even his own staff thought his demeanor was a little off. I didn't say anything I wanted to focus on learning the register, Bill comes up and I asked him if he can write me a acceptance letter so I can show it to my shelter manager, he said with the only disrespectful tone " don't get ahead of yourself " I was shocked but embarrassed because he said it in front of the other employees. I couldn't let that go so I decided to go talk to Bill about the comment he just made and he basically said in so many words he was not giving me any letter verifying I work there because basically it's a trial period even though he never said that in the beginning. I felt embarrassed, disrespected and disgusted that these two men with a successful business was so rude and cold. I already have to deal with my life not being stable and living in a shelter, I just wanted a job so I can get me a apartment and to have something stable. I guess money is all that matters, the owner seemed to only respect people who is buying and Bill only cares about control.

Cramped store and the staff are constantly telling you to move out of the way, it’s a bit jarring. Good thing there’s no shortage of great alternatives in the area ✌🏼

CJ provided fantastic service. I ordered a gift through Drizly and they made sure the gift was nicely wrapped, even sending a photo to my mobile number so I could see it beforehand. Kind and professional. Thank you!
