The food was absolutely delicious. It was flavorful and fresh. The Uni, which I never eat because it can have an off flavor if it’s not fresh, was to die for. My partner ordered a second uni hand roll after our 14 course meal. The prawn was buttery and cooked to perfection, not rubbery. Service was wonderful, very low key and fun atmosphere. Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a great sushi spot in Chicago!

This place is INCREDIBLE! Drinks are unique and delicious, the food is mind-blowing, and the atmosphere is swanky and cool. The prices are great and I can’t wait to come back!

This is the place I have been waiting for. I heard about Jinsei Motto’s omakase on Instagram (@chitownsushi) and it looked amazing so I had to check it out. Jinsei Motto is located inside CH Distillery. The vibe inside is super sleek, but fun, lively, and still laid back. You can order cocktails or drinks from the distillery, or you can do a tasting that’s paired with the omakase. We did the pairing and loved it. You get generous pours, and they really mix up the flavors in a fun way that still compliments each bite. The owner, Tony, also stopped by several times just to chat and voluntarily top off our drinks and that was amazing. Very personal and genuine service. Now the omakase. OMG. It is so so so good. It is without a question up there with Kyōten and Sushi Suite, but less $$$ than Kyōten and slightly less than Sushi Suite. While we did not get to meet the chef, his partner who was super knowledgeable about omakase (and super friendly) brought each piece out and made it a very personalized experience - one we did not get at places like Mako, etc. So in addition to the flavors and quality, the service takes this place a step above the rest IMO. They also personalized our menus with the names on our reservation, so that was another special touch. At the end of the omakase service, they also offer you an a la carte menu so you can order more of the pieces you loved. That was a cool option to have. Overall I can’t wait to go back. Check it out!

Mixed reviews here but for me, the bartenders were amazing. Probably the kindest I’ve ever met. Soooooo nice!!!!! Yes it’s a but pricey, but the drinks are awesome. Did not try the food. If you love Malört, this place is a must visit, right?

Love CH! This is my favorite bar in the city! We’ve been going for years and have loved to see how the place has grown and developed. I highly recommend the tour they do as well as their comedy night! The food is great and I’m always impressed with the menus they offer, especially considering their kitchen space. Their beverage menu is always on point!
