It's is so amazing when you walk in a store,to have such nice employees. They go above the average. In stocks items. And cleanliness. May be a adult beverage store, but smells like a comfortable lodge.

Great selection and the staff are very knowledgeable, even when you are asking about a super rare item that is seasonal. They have more IPA's than I could ever imagine are bottled and canned. It was so overwhelming I didn't even try one and went with my domestic classic hahaha

Impressive diverse selection. They have an amazing selection of non alcoholic beers that I haven’t found elsewhere - e.g. Baltika

Moved out of Illinois a few years back and Friar Tuck was the best place. Nice folks, great prices. A few things changed. The people I interacted with were short and seemed irritated. The beer and wine selection are fantastic. But the bourbon selection is very bland compared to Binny’s up the road. And the allocated bourbon is ridiculously overpriced. A bottle of Blantons is $69 msrp, maybe as high as $89 if you go to a smaller chain. The fact that Friar Tuck charges $189 for that bottle is insulting. Hey, if you want to pay that, it’s your right. Capitalism. But this is just greedy capitalism. It pains me to say this about Friar Tuck, but my advice is to just hit Binny’s. Friendlier folks and more reasonable prices.

This review goes to the short female cashier working Friday Dec 30th around noonish. If you do not know anything about liquor or wine , then why the hell are you working here? She has to be the rudest and most arrogant person i have ever dealt with . I asked a simple question about a well known brand of champagne . She gave me the worst attitude i’ve ever experienced in a retail setting. They need to put you in the back away from interacting with customers. A place that sells high end alcohol should have positive and inviting people that actually know how to socially interact with people. I know it’s a tough and challenging job after all. WHEW!
