They were there for us in a time of great need. Out of tequila before Christmas, it gave us a fright indeed. The Liquor Barn closed at seven. We jumped in the car without question. Bottles purchased; now the holiday festivities can proceed.

Stock is ok. But the service is terrible. Sales Help just hanging around and not being helpful talking amongst themselves. Especially the manager who is very unfriendly. They should take a page out of a Binny's store who has outstanding service. Thought I would give Liquor Barn a try but prices and service better elsewhere.

Figured I'd check the place out I had never been there before normally buy from Binny's. I'll be sticking with Binny's as they're less expensive on pretty much everything I buy. And they're only about two blocks away. Some stuff substantially. Example 8 bucks more for Maker's Mark 1.7 then Binny's Maybe next time.

Great variety of craft beers. Wish the mix and match selection was bigger though.

I had a really bad experience ordering from them through Drizly. Obviously, a big part of the blame falls on Drizly because I was sending a gift order and Drizly incorrectly states on their website that gift recipients will be able to choose what dates they're available to accept the shipment. So the delivery attempt was made without my knowledge or the recipient's knowledge, and the shipment was returned. I contacted the Liquor Barn and an associate told me I would have to place the order again. Then I contacted the delivery company and they said to have it sent to an address where I knew someone would be available 24/7 to sign for the package. And that's all fine. Drizly should have been clearer, but it was an honest mistake so I placed the order again following the instructions from the delivery company. Shortly after, I received an email from Drizly stating that some items in my order were out of stock and I needed to call the Liquor Barn for substitutions. And the experience I had on that call is why I'm leaving this review. I was transferred to a manager after I mentioned the email, and he was very hostile about the situation. He said that due to the "delivery notes" the delivery would not be completed and it would "just be the same thing over again." I asked how I could make it so it does get delivered and he said "it's just not worth it, we already lost $15 on the last order and it's too small of an order to be worth it." He then told me that if I tried to place the order again, he would just cancel it again. Up until that phone call, I had no issues with the Liquor Barn. Most of the frustration throughout this experience came from Drizly. Personally, I think it's on the Liquor Barn to make sure that Drizly isn't allowing people to place orders on which they lose money. But I can cut a small business some slack when they're dealing with multiple providers. I just don't understand why I was met with such hostility as if I had been calling and complaining to them all day, and not just following up on communications and instructions from Drizly.
