Edit: i’m not in the area often but the fact that I got a 3.5 month expired beer should tell you beer drinkers all you need to know about this place: they don’t check the dates regularly enough not to sell expired beer. I am not looking for my money back, owners, and the problem isn’t mine lol it’s yours. The review should tell you that you don’t check your dates regularly, not that you had one unhappy customer. I’m just trying to save others from the same experience. Again, expired on July 4. Bought on 10/24. Decent amount of choices but make sure you check the dates on the beer. I accidentally bought some beer that expired on July 4. Only came here cause I was in the area but I won’t be back.

Has a huge selection and the couple working there is very nice. Only wish that they had absinthe. Will absolutely be back.

Thank you for offering to replace the bottle. After my wife (the woman who came into the store) spoke with the owners during her visit nothing was offered in terms of restitution. Though she didn’t ask for a refund or exchange, she did leave the bad bottle of alcohol that we paid $28.00 for. Thank you for the offer, we appreciate it. I’ve adjusted the rating accordingly. I’ve had better customer service at a vending machine. I’ll never spend a dime in this store again and I’ll recommend all my neighbors in West Dundee, all heavy drinkers stop shopping there as well. I have been going to this Armanetti’s for years and never had a problem. We recently purchased a Deep Eddy Grapefruit Vodka (large) from them. When we got it home we noticed it was nearly transparent and not it’s normal shade. When we opened it and tasted it, the batch was clearly off and no good. We took the bottle back up with a proper bottle that we purchased at Jewel to show them the comparison. The owners of Armanetti’s could not have cared less. They barely looked at the product and just said “so”… No interest in making it right by offering me an exchange or refund. Stay away and give your money to someone who cares about customers.

We go there regularly, It's a family business. For us, it's a 10 or 15 minute round trip after work. We could go to Jewel, but after mentioning that to them, they lowered the price of Bacardi Black to match Jewel. I like to support our local business. Honestly, I've been to a comparable shop in W.D. and it's just not the same.
