If you can't find it, you don't need it. I love that place. It has almost everything.

Our go to place when looking for something fun that places like Gary's and Brother's won't have. Wilkie liquors has a wide variety of options. I even saw some off season, seasonal items on their shelves. Great to know if I'm ever in that off season mood for something.

Mt. Vernon has a mask mandate, but when I walked in Wilkie Liquors this afternoon, there were two employees in there not wearing masks. I promptly left. If you don't follow public safety regulations, you don't get my business. I left the above as a review on their Facebook page. They replied back with some lame excuse about being a distributor, and their employees used to working only with each other most of the time. But they ARE a business with a store that is open to the public, so that's a pretty weak excuse. Then they disabled reviews from appearing on their Facebook page because they apparently can't handle one legitimate negative review (all previous reviews were positve). I used to shop there on a fairly regular basis pre-pandemic, and I liked the ability to shop local with such a good selection. But no more. I'll gladly spend my money at a large chain store like Hy-Vee instead as they follow proper pandemic guidelines.

A classic Mt. Vernon spot. They have everything you could ever ask for PLUS pretty good service.
