Good prices good selection easy access. What more do you need. Park across the street in lot if parking on the street is full. They may call tow truck but you can be in and out before tow truck shows up.

Someone made the mistake of getting me into bourbon and now I go to a lot of places seeking a new bottle. Stopped here after getting coffee at Homers. Love the small town feel to this area and Big Dave’s came through with this bottle. Cozy place, that’s very well stocked and taken care of. Owner(?) was very nice as well and offered to help if needed. Will definitely be back here when visiting OP

I vehemently disagree with "Matthew F"'s review of Big Dave's Downtown Liquor. Not only is it a great local liquor store but Carrie and staff are helpful and extremely friendly. It was in fact MY DOG that was in the store at the time of his review and she and multiple customers were excited to pet her. I respect a business that is "dog friendly" and consistently makes you feel like you are part of the neighborhood. We will continue to patronize this great business and hope all others will do the same. If you want escalated prices, no help and long check outlines... please go elsewhere.

I really want to support any local small business but after 4+ years of coming here I just can't do it anymore. There is a guy with white hair that runs the place most of the time and he is awesome - I find the alcohol I want, I pay, he thanks me and we part ways. Buuuuuut there is an older lady that "runs" it every once and awhile and it's just a train wreck. She brings in a dog and lets it wander around the store, she will leave the cash register with people waiting in line to verbally describe the emotions she "thinks" the dog is feeling which sound (suspiciously) like her personal feelings about people. She asks strange personal question based on what you're wearing and gets snooty if you don't answer the way customers guess she wants - its just a mess. Go down the street and support another local business - it will come with way less baggage, prices are good here but some days it's just not worth it.

Parked in one of the clearly marked 15 minute spots in front of this fine establishment. Dude comes charging out to ask if I'm planning to be there for longer. Offers up a friendly "I don't want to have to call the cops." If you prefer your beverages without a side of douchebaggery, try a different store.
