This is a great little fun place to check out! There are lots of great drinks to try. I love the name. I have a library card for deals on future visits now. Unfortunately, they said you can't borrow a drink and return it in two weeks. I will be back!

Absolutely friendly staff and good prices. They may not always beat every other location on every bottle, but the friendliest and the atmosphere make up for this. You can tell the staff genuinely have friendships with eachother and their customer base. It shows in their work ethic and how they treat you. You're doing yourself a favor shopping here. Ask about the library card for discounts and bring cash if you want to save a little bit more. You'll find an interesting selection and some harder to find bottles of your favorite liquor.

I used to live next to the library when I turned 21 so I used to walk there for all my alcohol and had a library card. I haven’t been in a long time since I moved to another part of Manhattan, but I stopped by recently since I was going to a friends house nearby. I didn’t bring my library card and asked if I could use a phone number or something to access it and the cashier laughed, said yeah, and then immediately asked for my ID. I’m a few years past 21 so she checked me out as normal, but never got my information for the library card. It seemed like she was annoyed and thought I was just saying that (thinking I was underage) and then forgot that I asked when she realized that I wasn’t. Maybe I just misinterpreted the interaction, but I’ve never felt so weird when buying alcohol. It’s a good liquor store overall though, so maybe this was just a weird night.

Somehow this place is just never has what I am looking for, or the staff just doesn't know where it is. No Grand Marnier, no leopold bros whiskey, no pre-mixed margaritas. Every time I ask the staff they look around for a while then say they don't think they have it, but it seems like in their heads they are thinking "I'm pretty sure we do have this somewhere but I really just don't know where right now"

John is practically my Dad now to no fault of his own - he runs an amazing store with awesome employees and ever-differing selection with what’s new and hot. Thanks for a solid 10 years so far 🙂
