Was here with my Brother-in-Law to get some red and wine wine. Quite a place with a very wide selection from literally everywhere, even Swiss wine (which I rarely see back in Germany!). Had a nice chat with a salesman named Jim who skilfully pointed out best choices (he knows his stuff) before moving on to the whisky (yes, the Scottish spelling) aisle. They have a lot starting from evergreen standard single malts right up to sensational vintage specialities. I left with two special bottles and a 12 year old Bowmore, a wee dram for the evening. Great place.

Chandler at Total Wine in Baton Rouge was so helpful to us planning a wine tasting for our mother’s birthday with her friends. We asked him to help us pick a region in France for 6 wines of various types & he picked 6 perfect wines within our budget! He was extremely helpful, and all the wines he recommended to us tasted amazing. Everyone loved the wines he selected & had a blast!! Thank you so much Chandler!!

The best part about Total Wine is the service. They can help you find anything or will order it if they don't have it. Prices are fair and selection is crazy! I've been exploring amaro and vermouth a lot more since they have 203754 kinds of each spirit!

I had a cart full of bottles for Christmas, probably $400 worth, unloaded it all at checkout, then was told I couldn't checkout because one person with me had an ID from a foreign country. They said it wasn't valid, but it's a legally recognized ID in Louisiana? Also, I had a valid Louisiana ID. I said "What if I leave and come back without him (the one with the foreign ID)" and they said I would have to wait 24 hours before i could come back and buy it?? Now they just made all that up didn't they. I get that you don't want to serve alcohol to minors, but you can't just decide for yourself what IDs are valid and which aren't, and you can't just make up silly arbitrary rules like "don't come back for 24 hours". That is not up to you

I’ll like to say don’t bother coming to this location if your not apart of the upper class. Don’t even worry about coming if your POC. Went to this location and they told me my ID was expired and they could not sell to me, which was fine. But the manner in which the older lady, and heavy set managers came up to me escalated things quickly. The heavy set manager told me “you should watch you tone because there were children around” at this point this became a lecture about my morale code rather than me buying a product. So now I am currently banned from this location for the situation. Honestly this makes me feel uneasy and I have made attempts to request the video but no answer. If I were to come back they would call the cops on me. Don’t know what to do in this situation. But I’m on the fence to lawyer up because it was unfair and it is haunting me. THANKS FOR THE TRUMA old white lady and heavy set guy. Your black employee had more respect for us and nothing would have happen. She gets the one star.
