A corner liquor store typically is a friendly place, wheee people who know their stock, and are helpful. Mayo Liquor seems to fall short on all three. I’ve been there three times. One was to ask if a certain wine was local (shrug of shoulders), asked if they had or could get Devil Backbone Lager (don’t know, look in the case), whether they only had IPA (I guess so…). Has to interrupt one guy’s smartphone concentration to ask to pay. I’ll go elsewhere where people know their products and customer service.

There have been multiple times where they are closed during hours that they advertise as being available for business. Multiple times that I've tried to do business with them, I find that they are closed ~40 minutes early, and on 2 separate occasions they opened over an hour late! I don't know exactly how long it took them to open, because I was tired of waiting after 5 minutes. That kind of behaviour is unprofessional. Many items are not stocked when I go there, and then it is apparently incumbent open the paying customer to cram themselves into the tiny cooler with the back stock, and root around to find what they want. Olde Solomon's is close, and a much more reliable and professional alternative. Not to mention the customer service at Olde Solomon's is not only better, but existent.
