I was a loyal customer of Howard Discount Liquors always went there to get my Red Moscato. Today, I rode to the store on my scooter in the cold attempting to make my usual transaction. I attempted to use my credit card as I usually do and was asked for ID which no employee in the store has ever asked of me. I went on to explain to the cashier lady that I always make this transaction and the policies of the store aren’t straight because how is it okay for one employee to deny services but the rest of the employees follow through with the transaction ? Honestly, I felt discriminated against and even though they are the only close liquor store that carries the brand of wine that I like, I will never spend another dollar in there. I understand identity theft protection but disrespectful customer service to loyal customers is unacceptable!

A Yuengling Hershey porter and a Sutter Home Peach Tea Wine Cocktail in single purchase price. Gotta love when you can just try one and not be persuaded to buy a 6 or 4-pack. I mean, you may or may not like it. So chances are buying one is enough especially when there's other choices to combine with it for your comfort.

They have a nice variety of items, and of course they have scratch offs and lottery tickets. The downside of things are that there's almost no parking, and to be honest I think the neighborhood is a little catchy. I wouldn't feel that great being around there at night. During the day it's all good. Where's the trip, just be careful as you're walking over there.

Staff is super nice, but check the expiration/packaging date before purchasing! We just bought a beer that was over 2.5 years old and when they let me swap out beers, most from the selection I was supposed to swap out from were over two years old! They really need to go through their stock every season.

The store itself was fine I guess. Decided to walk there at 9pm on a Friday from our hotel. The nice gentleman at the font desk suggested "its ok to walk there at night with your wife and kids". Thank God I didn't. There were Bums passed out in their own urine outside. Literally rats running around (outside). No less than 10 people drinking out front. And another 10 inside hanging around. Also no parking. Like I said, the store itself was fine.
