Great go-to for wine, higher end wines to lower end- can’t go wrong finding something you’ll like!

It may be a nice shop if you visit in person, but don't bother to try to arrange a delivery through Beacon Hill Wine & Gourmet. I called on Wednesday to have a bottle of champagne delivered to a client 4 minutes away from the shop. They said they couldn't do it Wednesday, but could Thursday. I set it up and paid and said it absolutely must be delivered Thursday. Welp, Thursday came and went and they totally no showed. No call, no text, just no show. Friday they called me to try to get the delivery done, but at that point it was too late and my client was gone. The owner had the audacity to blame the delivery driver instead of taking responsibility for the mistake. I had wanted to support a local small business instead of going through Drizly or Total Wine for this, but I'll never be buying through Beacon Hill Wine & Gourmet again and wouldn't recommend them to anyone for delivery

Great selection of wine, I would even say that Beacon Hill Wine & Gourmet is the reference when it comes to wine in Melrose. Customer service was 👌🏽, decor was on point. The only reason I don’t give a 5-star is because of the beer selection, I couldn’t find a pack of Heineken today out of all the different brand they had.

The store owner/employee was very nice and helpful, and I was able to find what I was looking for with his help, too. Also, just as a cool thing that I liked seeing, the receipt for my purchase could only be provided to me digitally (through text, email, or no receipt choices), which I thought was great for a no-waste solution.

Nice local wine shop with pop-up wine tastings!
