The stock boy here loves to harass my wife when she's minding her own business trying to shop. Wedding ring on and no reciprocation to flirting, take the hint kid

First off, just want to say that I have read the previous reviews on this place and it is unfair... It is common knowledge that even if your "boyfriend" or whatever is in the liquor store and you are not of age you shouldn't be in there. IT IS POSTED PEOPLE!!! They could get a huge fine for this so STAY OUT. Come in in 2 months when you are of age! Not that hard. You should know this and it is their right to even refuse your boyfriend. I agree the customer service is not great there but still. Have some common sense. I would do the exact same thing and they are just protecting their jobs and themselves which they should. No I don't work here but just moved into the area. Be smart and have the 21 year old go in by themselves... you will learn this as you get older... I do like this store but please be nicer and greet and say "have a nice day" to your customers please... It goes a long way.

On the rocks is considered by most locals as one of the best liquor stores in the area by far.. Very helpful, very knowledgeable staff and i like the tastings they have.. Hugo is happy to have such a quality store as this , one. Highly recommended..

I normally never write reviews for bad experiences, but this one was too much to not write about. I had a horrible experience. Im 20 (will be 21 in two months) and my fiancee was buying something for himself. I was just standing there with him because we went grocery shopping and i didnt want to stand alone in the entryway while he grabbed one thing. I stood with him and i was on my phone, when he was carded. The rude woman behind the counter glares at me and demands my ID, i let her know that i was just waiting with my fiancee while he got something. Then she said "Oh, so you are under 21?!" I answer yes and before i can say anything else, she demands I leave. "You cannot be in here!" Seriously. If she had just explained to me that it was a store policy and not to repeat it in the future, things would have been different, but her utterlack of respect and disregard was enough to drive us both away.

Terrible store, terrible service, terrible prices. This place is amazing, seriously, you will be amazed with how bad it really is. Here are the highlights: The three times I visited were all met with two to three employees (one hangs out in the small office to the left of the register) chatting or "stocking" items. They are normally in conversation, so feel free to interrupt them in an attempt to give them money. Upon a second visit, I was hosting an event with a large wine purchase. Had my wife and kids with (we are in are 30's...I like to think young) and are definitely used to being carded. This is important of liquor stores and I do appreciate that they take this law seriously, but holy buckets. WIth wife and kids in tow I presented my ID. It was then swiped on a mystery machine 3 or 4 times. When the approval of my ability to purchase alcohol did not appear on the screen a manager was then deemed necessary to make the call, unfortunately he was unavailable. Now my wife also was carded, as generally you can't by liquor for a younger person, but again in our 30's and luckily on the 3rd try her ID worked (MN license for both of us). We are talking top notch security here to purchase wine for a dinner party. Can't believe they didn't card the kids. To finish this up, no help was offered to carry this out. Not a huge deal but customer service goes a long way. Last but not least, the price is terrible. A simple costco run can save one, or a quick run to the nice Liquor store on 61 by Super America, where service is phenomenal. Final rating 0/10 Service 1/10 State of the art security to ensure the safety of Hugo and the surrounding area as to make sure a family of 4 is not really an intricate/secret organization intent on purchasing alcohol with "fake" ID's to ensure the closing of local watering holes and liquor stores 10/10 Price 1/10
