What a fun place to visit. I know of j carver from seeing it in the liquor stores around but then really noticed it while at our favorite restaurant, Winchester and rye, one town over in victoria. We’ve had great cocktails there made from their spirits at j carver. We have been meaning to make our way to the distillery for some time. They have minimal hours and you do need to reserve a time slot to visit. My husband and I opted to take the tour and it was great. Our guides name was Charlie-the best guide. We learned quite a bit about the process and love that they keep in local. All of their business is kept within a 50 mile radius and they care about the community they are in. If doing the tour, I recommend arriving about 15 minutes early so you can order a cocktail to carry with you. Afterwords, you get to choose 3 spirits to taste and good luck trying to leave empty handed! Amazing flavors and aromas but you will want to buy a bottle simply based on how great they are as a business in this community. The employees are happy to be there and you can tell they enjoy talking about the craft answering peoples questions. We will be back as it would be a great place to take company.

Great place! We just came here for 4 drinks. Waitress was super nice (Charity). Planning on coming back for the tour. A little pricey compared to going to a local bar but the drinks are delicious! Great spirits, atmosphere and staff. Attended a Distillery Tour here and enjoyed a tasting afterwords. The guid and whole team were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Would recommend the tour and tasting to others!

Amazing experience. Tour, cocktails, and tasting. The barrel aged gin is stunning. Will be coming back, and will always keep a bottle of the barrel gin. Worth a try!

Recommend doing the tour/tastings. The Barrel Gin, Single Malt Whiskey, Apple Brandy are all incredible.
