I like this place. Staff is nice. Multiple employees asked if I needed help. Was doing a big shop for husbands bday at a byob place. That was appreciated. They have a nice selection. Would suggest more Reds in the Portugal 🇵🇹 section, other than that my "go to" place.

Have been going there or manyyears...good prices , but be very careful now!! Red price tag below items...many were in incorrect places. For instance Absolute Vodka (just the regular no flavor) . Red Tag said $20.99, it was in front of many large regular no flavor bottles. Purchased other items, beer, rum and the Absolute large bottle. Checked out and then looked at the receipt and the Vodka and saw that I was charged $29.99. I went back to the checkout and the very nice young man went and checked the price tag and in small letters it said a flavored vodka and that this price should not be in front of the regulars Absolute Vodka and he removed it. I then showed him in the same isle where we had looked at Hard Ciders. They were all priced $9.99 for a 6 pack in between the Ciders was Reds Hard Cider 12 pack $9.99 tag I front of it. The very nice clerk said "That is in wrong place also". Now if you did'nt read the very small letters on the price tag you would think it was $9.99. Price tags are very Wrong. The clerk asked the owner/manager if he would honor the $20.99 price because it clearly was in the wrong place....I got No! will not honor it. Well after many years of going to Canals in Brick (We live in Toms River) that is the last time we will shop there. Beware of Prices...check your receipt!!!!!!

I ACCIDENTALLY BROKE A BOTTLE BECAUSE OF BAD SETUP ON THEIR PART. THEY WANTED TO MAKE ME PAY FOR THE BOTTLE THAT BROKE. I said no and walked out with $600 dollars of products in my cart. NOT SMART BUSINESS .

I thought it was just me but after reading the reviews of this place I realize it's not. Been shopping here for 8 years. The lady at the first register (furthest from front door) with the 1980's "hair don't" and the glasses has to be one of the rudest, nastiest biotches I've ever dealt with at a retail business. Never says hi, even when you say it first. Never says thank you. Occasionally, says the obligatory "have a nice day" in the same tone Charlie Brown's teacher used! Never gives you a receipt unless you ask. Now that bags are outlawed she just watches as you box your own liquor. I have seen a couple of employees that were the exact opposite. An African American woman and a short, blonde woman. Both are very friendly and courteous! Unfortunately, Ms. "I Hate the World" seems to be a constant. I really hate coming here but other liquor stores near me don't have the selection of wine this store has. Hey manager/owner - you ought to read these reviews sometime and give that lady the boot!

It’s been noted in prior reviews that the CASHIER HERE IS AWEFUL! Well… she is. Todays transaction of $300 worth of liquor supporting this business and the whole time she was checking me out … Never greeted me Played a computer game and was also on her PHONE! Playing the game during my transaction. Like when we were awaiting the cc transaction. I had to ask for a box and she never thanked me or said goodbye ! Next time I’m saying something ! Unreal. And just so ya know… I’m a GOOGLE LOCAL GUIDE for references for businesses. This one has me saying…. Prices are good. Cashier not so much
