Best selection and staff, they also have three locations. Two in Mt. Pleasant, one in West Ashley, can get rare finds quickly.

Amazing!!! I called to see if there was anyway they could assemble a last minute charcuterie board to go and was literally blown away by the service, knowledge, and attention to detail!! I had no idea what I really wanted on the board, and Kirk talked me through several options for meats and cheeses and explained each one so beautifully!! You know how sometimes sommeliers and cheese mongers just come off as pretentious know it all snobs, and you leave feeling like you should have just microwaved yourself some frozen dino nuggets and had a capri sun? Not the case at Alchemist! I left with a little more knowledge of cheese, the most beautiful charcuterie platter, and a bottle of delicious Pinot noir! The shop was so cheery and bustling with happy customers, and I can’t wait to go back to eat at the bar!! 10/10 recommend!

The store is wonderful. The problem I have is with one store associate. I use the store after 5:00 pm and twice I have encountered the same associate who was very rude twice. The first time was as I entered the store she actually shouted our computers are down I can’t help you. I certainly understand those issues but she was very curt and bordered on being ugly with her information. Second visit I walked in at just very close to 7 pm. Folks in the store . Open sign still on and the clerk literally shouts SC law on closing times. I was certainly close to the time and other patrons wee in the store. I stood there and asked if I could come in as others were in the store and the open light and sign was on. She again very unprofessionally said .. you can not come in. This clerk has an attitude problem. She could address these issues much more favorable y. I will be using total wine for future purchases. Not visiting your store again thanks to her. Sorry but a very unprofessional clerk. Thank you

Awesome store. They have a huge selection with every bourbon, tequila, vodka etc that you could think of. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and always jumping out of their seat to see how they can assist me. 10/10, one of the best stores in the Charleston area.

It's a very welcoming place with an amazing selection of wines -- for special occasions or every day. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Derek is especially capable, with incredible descriptive powers. Choosing a wine there is a great experience -- fun, interesting, and never intimidating. They're website is an excellent resource, too.

This place has the best selection ever, and the customer service is second to none. Derek can tell you about any wine in the store. They are willing to order any products you may need. Awesome prices combined with the knowledge and selection.... best place to shop. I drive past several stores just to shop here. You won't be disappointed.
