How could anyone who's a true Memphian have anything other than great things to say about The Brown Jug Liquor Store?!!!? Over the years I've cashed many different paychecks there and they don't take much of a percentage for themselves. Hell... The 2 gentlemen that worked there for years and years while I was employed at Dyer's on Beale never took anything from my check so long as I brought each of them a burger or 2 from Dyer's. I ♥️ to support locally owned establishments and Brown Jug is easy to give a positive review about

hey how you doing I just want to tell you that the Brown jug is one of my favorite liquor stores in Memphis I'm from California and they treat me really good there they are really nice people.when I first got here they told me all of the nice spots to go as far as Graceland Bill Street and BB King's club they are a little bit.and they really have top shelf liquor and have some of the stuff that we have back home in California and it's really impressive on the inside and it's a really nice part of town I think that's called North Memphis or something like that it's not as bad as they say when you walk yeah I'm busted.

I don't drink but I cash checks on the regular....If you just got paid and your out of gas and this liquor store is the closest place for you to cash your check go here.... but if you're not in this situation and can go basically anywhere who charges $1 on a hundred go there cause they are seriously Gouging on the price for cashing checks... DON'T HIT US UP.... UNCLE SAM TAXING ENOUGH....IJS🙅🤦🤷

Pleasantly surprised walking in here the first time. Highly-staffed, well stocked, great variety, great prices, and random side-note - I love how colorful it is inside. Even better was the down to earth atmosphere and family vibe I felt. Exchanged some much needed smiles and laughs with a fellow customer and honestly walked out feeling great. I'm not exaggerating. First impressions are everything as "they" say.
