I’m just appalled at the service a manager gave me. He told me my passport, my GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID, was invalid? He kept looking at my passport as if it was fake. He was rude and asked for another form of ID when I am clearly of age, written on my identification. He gave me a hard time for no reason. He did not bother to greet me or create an inviting environment for my mother and I. My mother almost had to bring out her ID due to this manager’s lack of intelligence. The cashier and other associate who helped me pick out my wine were delightful, but that manager showed poor customer service.
Please note, if you look young and they ask you to show more identification just leave. You have a better shot of being treated fairly at ABC.
Edit: The response given by the owner tries to excuse the poor behavior of their managers. The fact that they continue to express the fact that the ID policy is strict, which I understand, doesn’t excuse the fact that the manager was rude and treated me less than a human being. I am just disappointed. I will not be shopping here in the future.
