They have a guard near the entrance. They have lots of bottles in locked cases, though some pricey bottles are not locked up. Is Ballard a high crime area? Overall it didn't seem as nice as the last BevMo! store I shopped at, nor as nice as Total Wine up in Northgate.

At least at BevMo one can find great wine selection, friendly service from helpful and knowledgeable staff. Don't think price is much better than other options we all have. It's one stop shopping for preferred wine and liquor. Plenty of party supplies if one needs it. It could be an overwhelming experience if one is undecided and don't know what one is looking for. Generally BevMo stocks great selection of alcohol products. They run two for one in select wines of various ratings and price points. Include your loyal customer discount and perhaps $10 off spending more than $50 or $75 at most times (coupon only) one can some descent wine for few weeks. They have added Friday wine tasting event. Impressive selection of vodka, gin, whiskey, scotch, beer, wine and other liquors.

I like the selection and prices but a situation rubbed me the wrong way. I got married and spent about $750 here for liquor. We also bought plastic champagne flutes just in case. 3 bags probably totaling $25. A month later I bring them in unopened without a receipt. They acted like I stole them and pretty much shamed me out of the store. Now for reference I came in after work probably covered in dog hair and I’m also ethnically ambiguously brown. Now I know store policy is store policy, but the way they looked at me gave me nightmares. Is seattle really like this? Are there this many “transients” that walk in and out of stores looking to get store credit? I had a wedding ring on! Kk so the point is, return business is number one. Do not make people feel like they are scammers or homeless or an undesirable. You have massive security! If something goes wrong, you’re backed up. I’m offended and I’m not one to get offended. Over fake champagne flutes they watched me walk in with. Go to Total Wine. Never again I gave this two stars and not one because this is a training issue. Perhaps the staff doesn’t know how to compose themselves in a situation like this. Photo below to show you how I looked coming in. Without the dog of course.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Store & displays were very tidy.

Great selection with a genuinely friendly and helpful staff! Small note: There have been a number of bottles out of stock, but this primarily due to distribution issues plaguing the industry and BevMo is very transparent when this occurs.
