I have had the same recurring issues since my solar started producing on March 10, 2021.  I have contacted the Freedom Forever support team many times via phone and email. They have assured me each time that they are monitoring my system and will correct any problems that arise.  However, nothing happens until I contact them.  There have been two separate times that my system wasn't producing for 40 days and one time when it wasn't producing for 70 days.  If Freedom Forever is in fact monitoring my system, why does it take so long for them to correct the problem each time? Furthermore, each time they come (with the exception of one time when they replaced the inverter) they don't find the cause of the problem.  They just get it working again for a short time and then it goes back down a couple months later.  I have asked MANY times for a more permanent fix and they just refer me back to customer support and assure me that I can get compensated at the end of my anniversary year for the time it wasn't producing.  While I must say Freedom Forever did compensate me for the "lost time" last year, I am more interested in having a reliable system that I can count on. One of the MAIN reasons we decided to have solar installed was for emergency preparedness. Our hope is to get two batteries in the future and be able to go off the grid.  Obviously, I can't do that if I don't have a system that reliably produces the energy we need. Just so you know that I am not just complaining I would like to provide you with the data on when my system has stopped producing: Stopped: 6/23/21. Resumed: 7/6/21.  Off for 12 days Stopped: 10/20/21. Resumed: 11/29/21.  Off for 40 days Stopped: 2/15/22. Resumed: 2/23/22. Off for 8 days Stopped: 6/27/22. Resumed: 8/7/22: Off for 40 days Stopped: 9/9/22: Resumed: 11/18/22: Off for 70 days. Stopped: 1/5/23-present: Off for 4 days and counting. I have had this system for a total of 670 days. There have been a total of 174 days when it wasn't producing.  That is 26% of the days it isn't producing.  That is simply unacceptable. I paid tens of thousands of dollars for this system and expect it to work, and not just 74% of the time. I am also tired of having to contact customer support all the time.

I will say the pre construction team is amazing. From permitting to final turn on is great. From there things go down hill. I bought a 14.08?KW system totaling 52,000 before invectives. The system worked Great for a month and a half producing 91 kWh a day, then one day it dropped to 71 then nothing. Once I let them know my solar was not working, ( yes I had to let them know) they starting the run around. It went from we will contact you to parts in order to parts will be here this day to we don’t know when you’ll be up and running. Circle back to 24-7/ 365 monitoring and the 53,000 dollar price tag, I had to let them know my Solar was out two days after it went down and I am paying not only for Solar but paying the power company.

Do your homework before you sign a contract with any company. We were told we would not have a bill other than the $13 TEP box charge but everything that was promised was incorrect and the install was terrible. We have screws visibly coming out of the wood. It looks terrible. A second sales person came out to try to resolve our issue. The resolution was to sell us more panels with a bigger loan. Our neighbor had the same issue. I was not going to give a review until I receive I notice to sign my loan papers for the additional panels that I did not authorize. I regret doing business with this company that gives false information to make a sale much less give them additional business. I would not recommend.

Bought solar panels and paid off my loan with a home refinance. Panels stopped producing in April of 2022 and like other reviews on here, I had to call them to inform them that my system was not operating when I received high ⚡️bills. Yes, we were given the same BS about never having an electric bill just a connection charge with TEP. Also the same runaround about not having parts and don’t know when they will be in. Escalation team never calls you back and it’s the same old song and dance about why there is no accountability. Maybe it’s time for a class action lawsuit??

I would advise finding a different contractor. I am in the process of cancelation now, and I have not had any equipment installed yet, so hopefully this part at least will go well. The initial sales pitch was given by a 3rd party company, Boundless Energy. I was happy with what they had to say, and decided to move forward. The first sign of trouble was when Freedom Forever techs came out to measure for install. A new hire showed up with no experience and waited for an hour or more fore anyone experienced to show up. I was notified several days later that they would need to return because they "lost" all the info. System design was also not allowed by my local power provider. The other major problem is the lack of communication. I made the decision to cancel after waiting for nearly a month for an answer to questions about technical specs. I reached out multiple times for answers, and I always got patronizing responses with no answers. I get the feeling the sales rep is fabricating excuses for lack of communication. At one point I was told that some of the info was sent to me through email in a "the check is in the mail" sort of way. Also, you cannot reach freedom forever directly without going through the call center guardian. I have yet to receive any response from Freedom Forever directly despite multiple attempts and requests for information. 8/26 update: The reputation team never contacted me as their reply suggests. The salesman contacted me after I made it clear I intended to cancel. He sent me some photos of part of the documentation I was asking about, and assured me I would receive a call from the engineering team to answer my questions. Call never happened. Also, my cancelation request was terminated somehow. 9/30 update: No questions have been answered since the last update. The salesman gaslights me pretty much every time I contact him. I've been told I'd be getting a call or email with answers this afternoon for about 3 weeks. This is most definitely the worst consumer experience I've ever had. The quality control rep reached out expecting me to boost the review basically because she bothered to respond. I called the only available number, and asked to have a final bill prepared prior to cancelation, but was told they can only provide final invoicing after the project is canceled. Apparently every dept. aside frome sales is "not customer facing", so there us no chance of communicating with accounting or engineering. I cannot recommend staying away from this company strongly enough.
