Went to self checkout hoping it would be quicker. Two separate orders with less than 30 items total. First order, friend was scanning, and the employee came over and asked if we wanted to scan the beer so she could allow it. We told her we had two separate orders just to let her know, and she walked off mumbling something. My friend scanned his beer. She came back after a minute. He was finishing his order, so I asked her if she wanted to get mine as well. She said very sarcastically, "Well, I can't do it if you aren't on your order... so... no?" as she walked off again. So a few seconds later I scanned my beer then had to wait five minutes or more while she was talking to another customer, because there were no other employees available. When she came back she asked my date of birth, didn't check my ID, just entered the date. The machine told her to scan it, and she didn't. Very rude for no reason. And self checkout was way more difficult than it should have been because of that. Card readers also didn't accept any form of NFC.

Super friendly staff. We were approached by several employees offered to help, and I had several employees tell me good morning. The store was clean and that's impressive since it was so busy.

It's a Walmart. It's in Gulf Shores and it's pretty nice. Folks are always friendly. Parking lot is chaos on weekends. Enjoy using curbside. Garden center is decent for perennials.

Need to offer employee discount for people checking themselves out! Usually 2 registers open with staff. I see employees on their phones and 3 or 4 in a group watching the self checkout registers, if you are afraid someone is not going to scan items or steal items, then don't have self checkouts! Tired of self checkouts when your paying employees to stand and watch!
