Semper Solaris

We had great experience with Robert and Tim. They explained the process up front, were on time and left the area clean every day. They also provided us with location options for the shut off boxes and circuit breakers. They picked the best spot and wiring done in the cleanest way possible. The printout provided to them was out of date and we also didn’t get much input from engineering, these guys had to run additional conduits in the crawl space. , The duo went out of their way to keep the wires under the house and the installation aesthetically pleasing as well as functional. Once done, they gave me a tutorial which was very helpful. In my opinion, they did a great layout. A big kudus to both.

Stay away and use another solar company. Semper Solaris is dishonorable and misrepresents their services. There was so many issues with our installation that I requested a small 5% discount/reduction for all the misrepresentations and inconveniences. They choose to battle me over email and voicemails left at 7AM or on weekends over multiple months. Their communication was horrific. They just ask for money vs. trying to solve a problem or even apologize. They have not agreed to any resolution except to threaten me. They do not care about customer service or satisfaction. There are many solar installation companies, don't use Semper you will be much happier. Here are the details. First they promised to install by the end of Dec, but then delayed until March, then April. We locked in a good week when the kids didn't have school some days. We made our work schedules light because we expected power disruptions and banging on the roof. The installation took 6 days vs. 2 days promised due to their teams working short hours, 4-5 hours and not having full teams show up together. Even worse it was not 6 consecutive days but spread out over 4 weeks. They had to turn off our power most of those days creating many issues as we worked from home and had kids in school via Zoom. Additionally, they had told us they could install the equipment on the side of our house, but when they came to install it was physically impossible and thus they had to install on the back of our house, not hidden and creating an eyesore. Had we know this, we would have made a very different decision and not purchased the Powerwall. See pictures to see the promise vs. reality. Also note how many boxes are needed, I have not seen that at our friend's house who have solar. Their installers were polite, the problem was always with Headquarters which is likely not local. I strongly recommend avoiding any Semper Solaris franchise because they all connect to the back-end HQ which doesn't care about its customers or local providers. UPDATE: I got the response that they want to understand the issue and will reach out. I have heard this before many times. I will let people know if they actually follow through.

These guys did a great job installing solar on our home. I think it was a challenging installation with a steeply-pitched roof, on an older property, and it was achieved with care and efficiency in a couple of days. Mike B, the electrical equipment installer was great, and worked with me to make sure our battery backup circuits were just right.

Installation has been completed and we are waiting for final inspection. Everyone from Bill (Sales) and Pablo (install crew) have been professional, timely and done quality work. I have especially appreciated the project status information provided at every step of the process. I would recommend Semper highly!

Terrible experience overall, was not the most competitive bid to start with, but decided to go with them anyways and then regretted it every step of the way afterwards. They asked for way more money to complete the project than originally bid. Didn't meet any of the timelines or commitments (months and months and months of delay). Refused to send me or show me the plans that were submitted to the county until I escalated or followed-up with the county myself. Did nothing to try and jointly problem solve with me. Completely unreasonable to work with. Definitely would not recommend.
