Do not use this company. We signed a contract with them that included a new roof, replacing any damaged plywood. The company they hired to do the roof hid the damage from the inspector, and shingled over the top. Freedom Forever told us too bad, they were not going to address it. Then they go on to install the solar and they drilled all over the new shingles and just kinda patched it with some roof patch. They left a mess. I weigh 140 lbs and there are about a dozen spots at least a square foot each that I feel like I'm going to fall through. I sink down roughly 3-4 inches. The shingles are just floating on nothing. There is one spot so bad that the solar installers marked it so as not to step on it. I have video of my husband putting his weight on the bare plywood with foot holes in it. They said he was jumping on it. I have photos of the damage and they said too bad. Their solution was to threaten me with default if I didn't allow them to move forward. Seeing the holes they drilled all over the brand new shingles was my final straw. I will be contacting an attorney tomorrow. I have attached pics of what it looked like when they were finished with the plywood, all of this they put plastic barrier over to hide from the inspector. UPDATE! I just found out that Freedom Forever took so long to complete this process that my credit expired. The company re ran my credit and after racking up CC debt from Christmas and from trying to cover gas and grocery prices, I no longer qualify. This just keeps getting better. Had I known they had not completed the process on their end, I would not have used my credit at all. Thanks again Freedom Forever. Now I have to figure out how I am going to deal with this loan issue, as well as probably having to find someone to completely redo my roof.

Solar Review (Updated) Days since solar installation: 239 Status: Non functioning solar panels, electrical panel replaced, six studs cut through to install unnecessary conduit, leaving our load bearing wall unstable. Attentiveness of support staff & management: Non existent - Project has been escalated to four people in different departments. Each time they call and tell us they will be our contact to resolve issue to our satisfaction, but after 1-2 updates, they disappear and don’t return our calls. They did send out a good electrician who had never seen such a bad job in his 20 years and pledge to fix it right. But he can’t complete the job until the wall is repaired.

Protect your most valuable asset - use any other company for your solar install. Where do I start. These people are not licensed to work on tile roofs in Nevada. They called on Monday morning and said they couldn’t come with the install because too many of their staff called in sick. They promised to arrive between 7:00-9:00 am on Tuesday. They showed up close to 10:00 and rushed the job and didn’t finish. I tried to contact them for two months with no success. Then the rains came, and the roof leak became evident. I had a roof inspection and it indicated poor workmanship with the installation of the panels and the water proofing around the footings was not in compliance. They once again sent out non-licensed installers to inspect the roof, without doing a water test and indicated they didn’t believe there were leaks, despite obvious water damage on our ceiling. A second person was sent out, again not a licensed roofer, to look at the damage and called his manager to say there was. For another 2 weeks I called every 3 days for an update and waited hours on hold for no resolution. The wonderful customer service agents said wonderful things like “It doesn’t rain in Reno” and “I think you live in California, are you sure you need a Nevada roofer.” At that point in time I simply removed them from the picture and filed an insurance claim with the original contractor. Freedom Forever is not qualified to do what they claim they can, and their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced from a professional company. As of today, the roof leak is still present, but thankfully I have been able to use my time more wisely and resolve the situation on my own, without their help. I am looking forward to their “we cannot find your account” response that seems to be their standard for the hundreds of bad reviews they get.

Started our project in early December, done by the end of the month! Everything, plans, county permits, financing. Wow! We now have a huge ground mount out on our property, a fast, nicely crafted install, cost us less to have Freedom do it than we could have bought the raw materials for. The best part of this project was our rep/project manager Adam, he was polite, totally knowledgeable even in the minutiae, and kept us amazingly well updated. Wish we had done this years ago, can't say enough about what a great, easy experience this was.

We started this process in May and now it’s October. Panels placed on our roof but they are not connected or usable. Can’t get anyone to return our calls. No one is in charge, no management available, and no one will see your project all the way through to completion. Do not use this company unless you like to waste your money and be frustrated by disorganization and unprofessionalism. Waiting to see how they will fix this issue for us but it’s past the point of being ridiculous. They need make this right. Updated: Got the usual, automated, pathetic response to this review. They don’t care about making it right. Sad company and horrible experience.
