I am an electrical engineer, so I completed a thorough evaluation of the panels being offered by several companies … the panels provided by IES were optimum for my situation. The team was very knowledgeable & professional; pricing was competitive, and communication throughout the project was excellent. I definitely recommend IES.

When I first decided to switch to solar power, I was a bit intimidated by the task of choosing the right provider, making the right technical choices, etc. I talked to a friend of mine who very carefully reviewed and evaluated no less than 15 different companies before making his choice. I then got his top 4 choices and got bids from all of them. Independent Energy Solutions, IES, was an easy choice. Chris Remsen took the time to explain everything to me. He and his team is extremely knowledgeable. I challenged IES with “counter-questions” from competitors, but they really know their stuff and the answers made a lot of sense. IES took care of everything, including interfacing with the city (building permit), the HOA and SDG&E. I never had to talk to any of these myself, not even once. The service of IES is outstanding. They truly go above and beyond. They delivered on absolutely everything they said. The system installation was a breeze – high quality components, high quality work, completed ahead of schedule. No hiccups, no problems of any kind. I’ve had the 6.2 kWh system for a couple of months and it produces a bit more than the expected output. On an annual basis, it will cover all of my electricity usage. I’m 100% satisfied and highly recommend IES to anybody making the switch to clean solar power.

After getting bids from several other companies, I went with Independent Energy Solutions because they were by far the most professional company. Chris took the time to educate me on solar energy as well as to provide the most sensible design to give me the greatest amount of solar energy production for the available space and layout of my roof. Joseph, the crew foreman, was a delight to work with, and he was very responsive when problems came up. They thought of all the little details to make the installation aesthetically pleasing, like running the cable down along the back of the rain spout to hide it from view and painting it to match the stucco so that it virtually disappeared. Throughout the entire installation process, they went the extra mile, and they treated me as if I were a VIP. Were there problems during the installation? Yes. The City Building Department lost my application, and then both their inspector and the inspector from SDG&E were annoyingly nitpicky. But IES handled all these problems with grace and elan. Having my own solar panel system has caused me to look around the neighborhood to see what other solar installation contractors have done and there's all the difference in the world between what they've got and what I've got. I'm so glad I went with Independent Energy Solutions and got the very best.

After reviewing many solar companies, we chose IES for their cost, system capabilities, and experience. We are very pleased with our system and the employees who helped us with this project.

I have installed my solar system via IES. I am very happy with the installation and support the IES team has given me. The installation looks very professionally done and I highly recommend IES to other potential solar customers!
