It is to follow up on a job that they did at my home in 2015. They installed solar panels and a new electric main panel thinking they have done their job correctly. In truth not only did they not apply the correct permissions to the main panel installation. They handle live wire without power disconnection from PG&E. I only found out about it when doing a battery install with another company years later. Now to rectify their mistakes and to bring the panels up to code it would set us back almost 20 grand with trenching and permitting to upgrade the existing 100 amp wire to 200 amp plus main panel relocation to satisfy the code. The photo included the scope of the work and their handy work with their company logo on the main panel.

My experience is extremely positive. The Clean Solar team is friendly, competent, responsive and flexible. The sales process was thorough with appropriate follow up to keep me informed from first evaluation to post completion of the installation. The team took care of every aspect: design, permitting, ordering, installation, test, inspection, rebates etc...They were creative in solving design challenges (such as where to instal the various components given the physical constraints of our house). Designing a solar/battery system is technically not that simple, components have to be matched properly to achieve the highest efficiency and it has to comply to many standards and codes. The crew who did the installation was extremely competent and professional: they planed carefully then executed, they did not rush, they are genuinely interested in doing a great job. I highly recommend Clean Solar,

In December of 2022, I completed installation of a solar system and battery backup for my home, and I would like to commend Clean Solar and their team of professionals for a job well done. Deciding to convert to a solar is an expensive undertaking and after interviewing several different vendors, I decided on Clean Solar as my service provider. Art Balaoro spent several hours with me describing in detail how a solar system works and calculating several different installation options to maximize efficiency. We talked about different types of panels, battery storage units, and DC to AC conversion. In my comparison of three vendors, Clean Solar did not offer the cheapest solution, but they were not the most expensive either. My final decision was based on the amount of time Art was offering to spend with me to answer my questions and explain the details, while also giving me the time and space to make my own decisions. I live in a HOA with a strict process and timeline to follow. My project manager, Derek Norton, clearly understood the restrictions and additional steps that needed to be followed to meet both the HOA requirements and City of San Jose. All the plan drawings done by Randy and Mike needed for HOA approval, passed after the first review. Derek did a fantastic job of coordinating meetings, installers, site visits, and paperwork. Jessie and his team of panel installers were on-site every morning and ready to work. They were polite and professional. Gene and Dustin installed the battery and were equally great to work with. The two gentlemen (sorry for forgetting their names) who were here for City of San Jose inspections were very polite and professional throughout the whole inspection process. From beginning to end, I have been impressed with the level of professionalism, competency, and politeness of every person I engaged with from Clean Solar. I would not hesitate to recommend them if you are considering installing a solar solution for your home.

I am so proud to have my CleanSolar system installed. From the first day of contact to the last day of the final walk through, I was very happy with all interactions with everyone at CleanSolar. I liked that they stand behind getting the most efficient panels and inverters from the beginning. I did my own research and gotten multiple quotes from other installers that quoted less efficient panels from the start. CleanSolar was the only company to quote SunPower from the beginning. Their quote was very competitive with others that were quoting less efficient panels and had a shorter warranty and production guarantee. My solar analyst, Craig Rush, was very helpful in taking the time to explain every nuance about CleanSolar solar systems and the different configurations possible. Even though, I used to design solar panels; I was still apprehensive in investing such a large amount on solar panels. He dedicated a lot of time to explain everything to me and helped me to cautiously step through the entire process, production guarantee, payments, rebates and all the different inverter options, AC vs DC output, and configurations. Again, I don’t think I could have had a better experience with being guided through the whole process. From the beginning, I wanted the most efficient panels and knew I was going to pay out of pocket for them. My roof is very broken up and steep and knew it would be a difficult job to layout. Leasing was not an option because my consumption was too low but I have always wanted panels on my roof to be a good environmentalist. Craig was very helpful in explaining the priority (South, West, East) for where to put my panels and even found room for 2 extra on my roof. He explained that I could stick with my original 8 or less or go for the whole thing which I opted for. My payback is a little longer than most would accept (15 years) and we will probably move before the system is paid back and I am making way more power then we use but I am happy and joyful knowing that I am doing my part to help Mother Earth. When we move, the first thing after getting our keys, CleanSolar will be coming out to put another system on my new place.

They only cleaned one third of my panels and when I asked them to rectify it they have not responded.
