My roofer paid Solar Direct almost 5k to reinstall the solar panels 6 weeks ago. It took more than a month for them to respond to any call or email about when they would do the reinstall. The removal only cost 2k, but the reinstall cost a lot more because they would replace the old parts supporting parts for the panels with new parts. Company policy was that they had to use new parts. That was a lie, they used the same old parts that have been laying around in my backyard for 6 weeks, waiting for them to reinstall them. Before they left, they told me one 1 panel was disconnected because it needed a replacement part that they did not have with them. They would report it in office and someone would be sent with a replacement part to fix the issue. Another lie, there at least 12 panels are not working or that are installed incorrectly. I lost 6 weeks of production waiting for them to do something that they were paid to do and now I am losing even more now with the incorrect install. Again I have called and emailed multiple timeswith no response of any kind. Does anybody at this company ever answer their phone or return a call?

I have been a customer of Solar Direct since April 2021, and I think it's important I let you know what it has been like dealing with your company. In January 2022, our solar system went down. We spoke with your receptionist she was incredibly rude and then connected us to a voicemail and we never received a call back. It took over a month for the system to finally get fixed the first time. The system went out again on July 9th and has not been online since. When we called your company, the phone rings and either no one answers, or when we do reach the secretary, she is rude and yelled at us that you are short-staffed. We called an older contact and it rang for several minutes with no voicemail. When we got a hold of the secretary she said "well, he hasn't worked here for months so I don't know what to tell you". We called and emailed several times with Dave and Justin who kept telling us that there was a software update to the system that caused a massive outage to several thousand customers. They said they are very short staffed and addressing the issues as they come in and they are "months" out from fixing all the issues. They said Solar Direct is “thinking about reimbursing a percentage of the customer's bill" when the system is restored. We were told we would be informed more as they heard more but we do not hear anything from your company unless we repeatedly call, email or text our contacts. And still, no answers. The sales portion of the solar install was fantastic. Lots of communication and information. Since signing the contract, it's been radio silence. There was no education on how to use and troubleshoot the system, the mobile app nor was there any explanation of the solar install process and what we needed to do after install. After LCEC connected, we were not told we needed to contact Solar Direct to inform that we needed to have the system live. By miracle, someone actually answered the phone this day, and we were able to go live. If you have several "thousand" customers without the solar system they're paying for, it shows where your priorities lie if you're still signing new contracts and installing new systems but leaving the existing customers in the dark and paying both a solar loan and electric bill for months. At this point, I am sick of not getting this system fixed, and getting no communication from anyone at your company. We work with several people who are interested in solar and have the means to pay with cash. We have advised them to look for another company after the dismal customer service we've experienced.

I'm leaving a one star only because I can't leave less. I am so disappointed in the responsiveness of the numerous calls and texts of equipment that wasn't connected properly to begin with and continues to fail. I continue to pay high electric bills and that's on top of the monthly payment for the panels. I have had failed installation, failed return calls or text and a lack of true concern to my continued problems. Maybe this will get Somone's attention and a response to my complaints before I look for a remedy otherwise. The product still doesn't work!

I have installed 15.3kw solar system which consisted of 45 340w TallMax panels. From the time of the order throughout installation the response was great from SolarDirect. I am a pest of a customer and have lots of questions and request frequent status. With a Tier 2 system it adds another level of complexity with insurance and agreement with the utility. Was provided a clear timeline and was able to keep in touch throughout the process. I even had to upgrade my main service panel to handle a line side tap. The installers were great and were not bothered by me being on the roof to ask questions and take progress pictures. This gave me a better understanding on what was being done and how everything tied in. This was even accomplished in one day and tested before they left. They answered everything and showed me the inverters and tied to main service panel. Since the agreement was in place prior to installation I only had to wait a couple business days for the utility to install my meter. When the system turned on one of the inverters crashed after about 50 minutes. Their service team took care of getting a replacement shipped and installed quickly. System has been performing really well and glad j took the plunge into solar.

Solar Direct offered and provided the best overall Solar System for my house and at the best price too. Best thing they did was they got my house to "Net Zero" and I no longer have to pay an Electric Bill, except for the nominal standard monthly hook up fee that Duke charges all of their customers. I highly recommend Solar Direct. Kirk and Dale and their crew were awesome!
