This is The Only power company there is. Therefore, the CSR are Not customer friendly. Snyder, nasty attitudes by people who couldn't cut it where there is competition. They don't answer questions, IF they answer the phone. That's almost as rare as a Unicorn sighting. It's unfortunate, these are the 'local faces' of Consumer's Energy.

Power went out on a Tuesday at 10 pm. Consumers say our power will be out for 6 days? There are no wires down or trees down for several blocks? Very poor service from a company that prides itself on customer service.

They do not care about they’re customers or they’re custom service. My bill randomly jumped 100 dollars and when I called them to find out why they basically said “screw you pay us”. I asked them to check they’re equipment and they sent me a letter saying I’m not eligible for that service. I am currently seeking other services and I DO NOT RECOMMEND anybody use consumers energy!!

For a company that is supposed to provide power they dont. Any light rain, wind, or even no reason at all and the power is out for days at a time. Save your money buy a generator or solar panels they would be more reliable even with cloudy weather then them and it would probably be cheaper
