I work in energy and know many people in the community so it was hard to decide who to use. However, Marty and his team made the process very easy. TruNorth Solar was responsive, spent time walking me through all of the questions, and let me know what to expect through the whole experience. During the install his team was clean, courteous, and very professional. They were also all a joy to talk to and work with. Given my interest in the process, they spent time talking to me about the work and the steps they were taking. I always was kept up to do date on what was happening. They got the panels in right when the snow was ready to melt so we could maximize our annual production. I would highly suggest Marty and the team at TruNorth.

A solar installation is a big, expensive and complicated project for a homeowner, but TruNorth made it a pleasure from start to finish. Everything was made clear, and all the work was completed without a problem. Great people to work with.

We were referred to TruNorth Solar by a past client who is a friend of ours, from the beginning we could tell that we were working with professionals. Jeff was very knowledgeable and helpful during our initial meeting which was conducted via Zoom. The team was able to tweak the proposal based on our needs and handled everything from design, coordinating with city & local utilities for inspections, and explained everything to us in detail so we were very confident in our decision to add solar to our new home in Maple Grove. We ended up going with a 9.8 kWh system which is already offsetting our entire electric bill plus some! Everyone that came to work onsite was timely and professional. I would highly recommend TruNorth Solar to anyone considering doing a solar project

We had a fantastic experience with TruNorth Solar. We gathered quotes from 3-4 different solar companies but found TruNorth to be the best intersection of price and quality compared to the other installers. We were impressed by their willingness to draft several different designs until we landed on one that would work best for our specific situation. The permitting and solar rewards program process wasn't as clear as I would have liked (signing lots of documents without too much information) but I think that is more due to our utility's process rather than TruNorth. In terms of the installation process, TruNorth was very accommodating as we had to keep adjusting the installation date due to the need to resolve some roofing issues first. During the install day, all of the staff on-site were willing to answer all of our questions and keep us informed of the progress. Overall, a great experience from start to end. Highly recommended!

I moved to a new house just recently and started seeing electricity bills north of $200! I always wanted to go solar, and with the high electricity bill it was a "now or never" moment! I began researching solar energy and solar installers. I received bids with back and forth negotiations on price and changes to the system such as panel type, system size and so forth. I received multiple bids including from TruNorth Solar who were able to provide not only the most competitive bid but also the most professional and easiest to work with set of people from contract negotiation to post installation. At every stage they accommodated me, whether it is timing or minor changes/additions as we go. I typically don't remember names very well, but with TruNorth Solar I still remember Marty, James, Jason, Ben, Nick, Ryan, Pat, Derek, and Donna. They truly give you the sense of a family and the appreciation of a small business feel. Many other installers were hesitant to specify when they would have the system fully installed and operational, TruNorth Solar didn't have a problem with having deadline, and they were able to have the system installed and even commissioned by Xcel Energy before the deadline in a remarkably short period of time. I like the monitoring application that tells you exactly how much power is generated at the individual panel. I like the electricity consumption monitor even more since it is tells me where the generated power is used to help me conserve energy. I always dreamed about having a home that is %100 powered by the sun! Thank you TruNorth solar for making that a reality.
