New Star Solar is top notch. Not only did they come in with a much better price than 2 other competitors, they educated me on why the equipment they use would be a better fit for my needs. We couldn’t be happier about our decision and would recommend New Star solar to anyone.

My bill was about $165 a month for power. This includes running my hot tub and 2 shops. Erica straight up lied and deception is so wrong in this state. I'm 40k in debt. With a power bill from $65 a month to $396. Eric said they would pay my first month power bill after install of $526 that never happened. Now they are telling me 3 more panels will help. I dont know about you but 3 panels wont help if my lowest bill is $65 a month. Yet again my power was $165 before panels. Who is doing the math process on that? They trimmed my trees. Butcher job more like it and destroyed my yard. I have never wanted to sue a company so much in my life! But they just want to have me buy more and more panels for what? So I have nothing positive to say. Besides negative all around . 😠 😡

We have looked at other companies and decided to go with New Star Solar after hearing reviews from other people. Their customer service is top notch and responds very quickly with any questions or concerns. It is what we needed to feel heard and comforted in the decision we made to use them.

The conned me and told me that my bill would be 2/3 of what I was paying right now and I am an old man who gets confused so I signed a contract that I'm paying 2 to 2.5 times more than I was with the power company. It took them a year to get my battery and I needed a 10 hour battery because I'm on CPAP and an oxygen generator. The never installed the battery and told me they would send me instructions on how to do it. Eric was a terrible person to me. Pushy and deceiving. I am on Social Security and now can barely eat because of how they lied to me.

My advice to anyone shopping for solar is get a second opinion! We ended up paying $24K and then getting tax incentives (2K, state; 7K federal) to make it about $15K out of pocket. Our initial estimate was from a real flashy company Solar One ($34K, for a smaller, over-designed system). We even had a third company Solaroo (who gave us a decent quote and said they would beat/match any other quote we got). We went with New Star Solar because we trusted them, by giving us an honest estimate of what we would need and how much it would cost and we had a great experience with New Star Solar. We have been installed and going for a few months now. You will find (if it is not immediately obvious) that the amount of solar energy produced varies greatly from month to month. Our first complete month was January. February doubled January's production and March is well on its way to double February's, so we have seen the difference it can make to our energy bills already (~$80 -> $17). We are going to see the real savings in the summer months, though, where RMP's pricing tiers cost us $150-$300/month in June-August 2016 (!!!). New Star Solar coordinated everything, so our installation went smoothly. They even prepped all of our tax paperwork with instructions, so we had everything we needed to get our tax incentives. They look pretty cool too. We feel proud of our purchase.
