Beware of this company. They talked me into solar panels and and a new roof. Soon after the instal fumes from the roof started to fill our house. We made many calls to Empire without return. We were able to contact the roofing company who fixed the roof. Since we have been unable to get Empire to reinstall the panels. Calls to costumer service has been unanswered. Our solar panels remain scattered around our yard while we pay for a service we do not have. Avoid the headache and go with a different business. I wish we were warned.

We just had our solar system (26 panels) completely installed, a week ago . It took approximate 2-3 hours to complete the electrical work and an additional 3-4 hours to mount the panels on the roof. The installation process went quickly and smoothly. Communication with our project manager was exceptional. Thank you! Cannot wait to see a running solar system.

Started off friendly until they got my money. Gave me a quote and said it was going to cost x amount of money. It was going to be 98 percent able to cover my electric bill. They spent all that time having us wait while they were trying to get the electric company to pay for most of the installation. Shame it took them a year to start install and I was paying both electric and loan at the same time. They kept passing me on from contractor to contractors. Never the same person and always saying they are behind. Even the main number was not helpful, Took another six months after install to get someone out who told us they never hooked up the original panels and that is why the app was not working. Down again and my energy went up even though we have been using less electricity. How does your energy bill keep going up with panels 98 percent able to cover electric bill. Still waiting on someone to come out to look at it. Also this company will go back and forth with the electric company to see who has to pay for what instead of taking care of the customer. Penny pinchers , horrible contractors who left over a hundred screws, nuts and bolts all over my roof.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! I initially signed up for solar panels in Feb, 2021. The sales rep told me the whole process could take up to 6 months but would likely be sooner. During the whole design and permitting process a rep kept in contact and kept me informed which was great! Once the panels were actually installed around the beginning of June, it has been a different story. The panels failed the 1st inspection from my power company. Empire told me that someone would be back with the correct antennae in 2 weeks. Those weeks passed and another few weeks without any communication from the company. I started calling my sales rep and the company for several days. By the following week somebody showed up but then still had to come back a few days later. The required antennae finally gets fixed and a new inspection appt was set up. Weeks later the panels pass inspection...FINALLY! Well, it doesn't end there. The Empire tech tried to turn them on says that he can't due to the wrong microchip or something like that. He said it would take 1-2 weeks. Now we are nearing the end of September and the panels are still not working. I've been paying for them for 3 months, their only customer service number is not functioning and I'm ready to go to the BBB.

We are currently doing quite a few projects on our house. The guys from Tampa/Florida that installed our panels are hands down one of the best crews that I’ve ever dealt with. They were extremely professional, polite, and did an amazing job on the installation. I highly recommend Empire… especially if you get the Florida crew. Great jobs guys… I can’t thank you enough. 110% Satisfied Customer!
