Josh Persaud, BC regional manager of Empower Energy, is the most creative, energetic, smart, and dedicated of the solar system installers I have contacted or met in my effort to find a way to reduce my power consumption and work toward the possibility of getting off the grid through solar panels and battery back-up. I reached out to all the installers in Vancouver or who were willing to work in Vancouver, and none of them either (1) had as many ideas for possibilities as Josh had, or (2) responded as promptly and convincingly about options after visiting my home. Josh listened carefully to all my concerns and made sure they were met. He also always gave me at least two options for reaching the goal, and shared his ideas about the pros and cons of each. We ended up with a very affordable option that is a very reasonable first step. The contract I signed was more detailed than contracts offered by two other companies, with information on all the elements of the system. Josh than called the City daily to get prompt approval of the installation, so that we could make my deadline. And that’s not the end of our relationship, because Josh is very interested in learning about further steps that could be taken to reach the end goal. He is going to help me monitor how the system performs, and think about ways to improve it. I think that he really CARES about people who want to reduce their carbon footprint and help our planet survive the climate crisis. Josh’s installation team showed the same dedication, because they were doing something they believe in and make sacrifices for, putting in whatever extra time and energy was needed. This was evident to my neighbour George who observed their work and engaged them in conversation, and then shared his view that these were the most committed workers he had ever seen. I strongly recommend Josh and Empower Energy for their sterling work! Evelyn Pinkerton, Professor Emerita, School of Resource & Environmental Management, Simon Fraser University

PURE GOLD! Sometimes, when you look long and hard enough and have a little luck behind you, you stumble upon gold! This is what we found in the Empower Team – pure gold! Bright, resilient, polished, and ready to shine! We had a unique need and they rose to the occasion and exceeded our expectations at every step. They are knowledgeable, responsive solar energy stewards, with bold and imaginative problem-solving skills. With little prior knowledge about solar, but an ambitious idea and great determination, our 16 year-old daughter, Sofie, set out to find a solar company to help meet the solar needs of an off-grid, cost-effective computer lab, she had designed and was building from a repurposed shipping container, in our Vancouver backyard, to later ship to a school with no electricity, in Malawi, Africa! I suspect some companies might have shied away from her BloomBox Project, but not Empower - they jumped right in! We are infinitely grateful to have them on our BloomBox team and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone with solar power dreams!

Great product for the solar system investment. Technical & sale support have been really helpful and prompt, especially Peter who is the one set up this project for me. The team are helpful, careful and go out of their way to have the system up and run as a plan. I would recommend this company to my friend who is also interested in solar system.
