The team is nice and the atmosphere is generally supportive. The place is overcrowded with kids. Overall, I am disappointed with the progress and the results of the Martial Arts training. I signed up my kids to boost their confidence and reduce the chances of them being bullied ( which was and still an issue). Reflecting back on thier progress after18 months, I’m disappoint to say that I do not see any change in my kids's skills, confidence or even bullying. It’s signficant time commitment for parents with twice and sometimes three times weekly training. This center is crowded and instructors are busy wiitj many kids in thiet class. To improve thier training, I signed my kids up for additional privte lessons at the same center. The focus of the training seems to be mainly on belts but what difference a green or orange belts mean if no improvement in self-defense! The program is not cheap and the time commitment is demanding for parents. We were told that these skills take time but after 18 months I see no meaningful progress. I was watching the kids and few are talented but the majority are no different than my kids. Even Six months after stopping the practice, I see no differnce ( apart from having more time and money in my pocket)! In retrospect, unless you have talented kids, the practice is a waste and didn’t made my kids safer or confident,
