Hi very body. If you want to get to the roots of Aikido, this is the place to go. There are not that many places around where you can link traditional Japanese weapons and how it relates to the art. The dojo has a fantastic ambiance and it is very welcoming to new students. Every body is very friendly, and Sensei Stephan is always in the lookout about how to improve the quality of the Aikido in the dojo and having a safe practice always comes first. L.

Sensei is an exemplary mentor and teacher to each and every student. His ability to pass on his skill and knowledge is invaluable. The other senior students in the dojo, especially the yudansha, are very helpful and patient with less experienced/new aikidoka. I would not hesitate to recommend GTA as THE place to start or continue one's journey in Aikido.

This is a fantastic dojo to be a part of! Stefan Barton Sensei is an exceptional teacher who truly understands how to gear the curriculum towards each student, depending on their level of training and learning style. Everyone on the mat receives ample one-on-one attention from Sensei during every class. The dojo has a very welcoming atmosphere that gives a real sense of community which makes it a great learning environment. I have been a part of this dojo since 2006 and I feel that training here has made me stronger physically as well as mentally. Whether you are thinking of trying out Aikido or looking for new dojo to continue your training, Golden Triangle Aikido is a GREAT choice!
