Top notch Family Martial Arts Business. We have been bringing our children here to be trained by Sensei Chris and his amazing team of professionals for over 2 years! Love it!!

Most classes after a few months start to become mostly exercises that you could do at home as well as sometimes teaching combos that look cool but are not very practical. The instructors do not correct the form of any of the students, leading to poor form when the students are doing exercise as well as training, and the testing is not really testing, it is just getting students to repeat katas and do a large number of push-ups and sit-ups, that most of the students preform improperly (but all students pass regardless). There is sometimes weapon training, and that is good. This is also an amazing place if you are willing to put in the work, due to the intensity. However, it is only effective if you are willing to put in the work and you do everything properly. But everything changes when you test for your black belt. It is many hours of testing your katas and strength, pushing you to your limits, and then they really start to correct your form. But over all it seems to be treated as more of a sport then a martial art, but is very good for exercise (if you do stuff properly).

This place goes above and beyond to make karate a family freindly place. They do not beat your kids up but still teach discipline respect and the importance of doing well in school chores at home. They have a hugest ty every summer and they go way out of their way to make sure parent and kids have a blast at Valens. They are very accommodating with payment structure. This is a positive team environment type place and your children Andrew adults will only benefit from joining.

Great family run and family friendly place with plenty of instructors and students of all ages. Very flexible class schedule for students and plenty of events from movie nights to summer picnics to help engage the students in and out of class.
