If you are serious about training in martial arts, this is not the place to further your study. However I suggest you try it out and see for yourself, there are plenty of schools where you can learn from and expand upon the basic, fundamental body mechanics involved with performing athletically. That being said; you can learn as much from any YouTube video to the same degree of depth.

Sensei, My son is completely shattered. I am not trying to make excuses for him, but he was extremely excited, and he can't read, so he had no way of knowing that he can't wear shoes past that point. You are absolutely right that he should have listened to me when I called him back, but he's 5. I don't expect a reply from you, but I just want to say that I am extremely disappointed that a 5 year old was not given any grace and automatically kicked out within the first MINUTE of being there, and all he did was run down the hallway. As this was his first impression, he now thinks dojo's are bad. ETA: my son also has autism and ADHD.

My 9 year old son has been training here for 2 years now. He loves it, and we do, too. The program is well layed out and it helps kids in many other ways than just karate. I would recommend this centre to anyone and I certainly hope it will be here for many more years to come.

I've been taking Karate lessons for more than 3 years. During this period of time, I've learned many self defense techniques, discipline, and the most important thing, safety. Thank you Sensei for everything you taught us. Looking forward to earning my Black belt. May God bless you with health, and long life to teach the upcoming generations of what the meaning of martial arts is.

I moved to St. Catharines 3 years ago for work, and joined the St. Catharines Martial Arts Centre a few months after that. I had previously studied Goju Ryu Karate with another organization, and trained in a few other styles of marital arts over the years. And my experience at St. Catharines Martial Arts Centre has far surpassed anything I've experienced thus far. The curriculum is diverse filled with many complimenting forms, and is based in a direct linage. There are also many different seminars throughout the year for all age ranges. With over 30 years of experience Sensei Toth and the other instructors are passionate, knowledgeable and dedicated teachers. And it has been my honour to train under them. I would recommend St. Catharines Martial Arts Centre to anyone on the spectrum of interest in the martial arts beginner-advance and I would especially recommend it to someone who wants to try something new you won't regret it!
