This is a great place for a positive atmosphere and alot of fun but I feel the belt levels are rushed while not completing correct forms and skills that they actually require (despite being an americanized study of martial arts.) I understand and agree with the positive attitude theory -especially for younger kids to hopefully grow with because that will go a long way in character- but at the same time I feel many kids are lacking in appropriate skill level in relation to how long they have been training there. There is a definite outstanding promotional/ financial goal in this school over promoting correctness in skill. Every small and frequent event costs the parents $45-55 and the events are often pushed and amped up to the kids before the parents are informed of them (sales tactic). It's very obvious and can also cause dissapointment among families who may not be able to afford every event and how often they actually are. The only free events are buddy days (another sales tactic) to get more customers. I love this school for their spirit but I'm not loving the lack of skill and focus with and on each child with different needs in learning what they really should know. Students present incorrectly in their practice in class and instructors don't fully correct them or when they do it's once or twice..not consistantly. The students are then praised which again is always great for esteem but at the same time it's teaching them that what they are doing incorrectly is correct. To apply those incorrect skills that are learned during practice to reality- will not be effective. I understand perfection shouldn't always be the ultimate standard but sometimes it should be a serious goal there considering how much tuition is. Just as this is ultimately a business and there is much strategy and psychology behind the goal of finances...parents also pay those finances for their kids to ultimately learn effective and continuously perfected martial arts skills and I'm just not seeing it yet. My two nephews who are both younger and older than my child go to another local Taekwondo school and they are pushed to be correct in all skill levels in order to advance while also maintaining a positive and fun atmosphere. Thinking about switching unfortunately. :/

I enjoy participating in the adult classes. The trainer is very skilled and professional and class is fun as well as structured. I leave feeling more confident and hopeful as well as excited to learn more each class.
