I'd give this course 3 stars right now (May 2019) just because of the fact its very flooded on every hole but the first. Most courses I've been to this time of year have had minor flooding issues, this one was worse, but obviously will get better mid to late summer, which is why I'd give it 4 stars. For the price (28$ after 4pm with a pull cart), you can't really complain. Simple course, nice to get out play some golf for cheap. Some of the distances and pars seemed odd.. If you want a fancy course, go to Nottawasaga for $100 a person, but I don't want to spend that. And there were lots of mosquito's when i went, so i'd recommend bug spray.

Damp but in great shape

Lots of improvements but stupid pricing when it comes to cart rentals. A lot of seniors play this course. But they charge you 18 holes for the cart when you only want to play 9. Absolutely stupid. They would give more customers if they would just charge the 9-hole price for a cart and not 18 when you only play 9. Why would I pay $35 for 9 holes with a cart when I could play the Nottawasaga or other golf courses that are much better. Wake up people.

A change for the better under new owners. Great little 9 hole that has improved immensely.

Very disappointing (and expensive) experience at Ponderosa. Don't be deceived by the Internet sites that claim to have prices starting at $12 at this course. I brought my 6 and 9 year old kids to take a few swings (in a "best ball" situation) in order for them to experience the game of golf. I was not charged the $12 rate, but rather $21 for each of us (oh, plus the service charge to use debit/credit)! The course not in the condition you'd expect at this price. I'm giving it a 1-star because there isn't a worse rating.
