Completely abandoned Kings Bay Golf Course. That course used to be a hidden gem but has been left to get weed infested The bunkers have turned to concrete. They don’t even put soap and water in the ball washers

Conestogo G&C Club - Staff are great, you never get nicked and dimed to death when checking in. Great twilight rates. Some random guy working there even gave me a ride to the first tee box (Moores) which is a good walk. Course is in excellent shape. Just few geese on one hole. I guess that's why it is called goose run. Can't wait to play again, hopefully break a 100!

Played Brant Valley which is normally a fair to good experience. Today took 4hrs to play 12 holes and the delay after each hole was just getting longer as speed of play got slower and slower. Decided to stop after the 12th hole. Pro shop manager apologized. Said sorry guys I know you come here a lot. Well maybe not in the future. A coupon or something would have been a good client experience.

We decided to try and support Canada's golf courses rather than going to the states to golf ( lucky enough to enjoy a multipal golf trips a year). The decision was to go to Forest Golf Club and do the stay and play package; there was four couples this past Sunday September 3-4. I first arrived at the check in counter and two ladies were sitting down behind the counter aware I was standing there. I commented who I needed to see and each looked at the other than one said she would look after me with no hello-smile or even a little bit of warmth. The rooms even though dated are VERY clean and comfortable. We proceeded to go to the pro shop and check in--this time a young gentleman was sitting behind the counter and was not interested at all nor was friendly or even a thank you??? The course was in fair shape and even though the yardage is short the holes were challenging. We played eighteen holes and never saw the bar cart that we were informed would come around a couple of times. Note: number nine tee and ten are not near the club house which we discovered. We finished the round and again the course is fair and can be fun when playing in a group. Dinner time and it was included in the package along with breakfast. The server was very friendly and certainly genuinely happy to be at work. We all commented on how she made it a very positive experience. The food was a different story--steaks so well done that it was difficult to even cut -- the veg was over steamed and when you picked the asparagus up with the fork it came apart aling with the potatoes being rotten. Next morning breakfast and a different server was certianly not a happy person. My omelette was not completely cooked but she never came out to ask how anything was for us...only real comment came when we paid the bills for the coffee at $5 and gave her $20 asking for only $10 back. The server had no change and a couple of times looking at us and loudly asking if another server had change because we did not have it. Onto the second round and the gentleman at the club house was older--friendly and appreciated our business. Again no bar cart which makes it difficult to support the course even with the threatening letter about being ejected from the course if you are found with alcohol. I do not disagree with this policy and support it but really---18 holes and no means of getting a drink??? We decided to stay for lunch and again the same server from breakfast came over with no smile...manage to get our drinks and lunch ordered. The drinks came out and another server brought our food. I ordered the meatball sandwich which appeared to be a greasy burger pattie cut in have and served on the rye bread which was soggy because of the grease. The server never came back for more drink orders as we all sat in front of empty glasses or ask about our food. Plates sat in front of us and she approached the table with a our bills and said you can hand them out to me???No thanks....did you enjoy your stay...even have a nice day??? Also note we went passed the front desk several times and just once one of the many people there said hello to us. Customer service except for two staff was not at an acceptable appreciative level. Golf North which we appreciate the original philosophy has during the past couple of years failed in a few of their courses with customer service and food quality; sad because we golf numerous times at some of their locations but recently have started to search for different courses. I am embarrassed that we organize this event for the group and was assured they would no be back? Jeff

Played Conestoga Village and Moors, staff were incredible on every interaction, course was in good enough shape (although I'm not a fan of finding rocks in the bunkers), fun and challenging enough for an intermediate golfer, certainly recommend as value for money at this course was good
