A classic country parkland style semi-private course with the original front nine designed by Stanley Thompson. Very playable mid slope rating with some challenging holes. Well maintained. Great clubhouse bar and restaurant called The Locker! Very cottage country feel to the whole place.

On our trip back we were excited to go out on the course and see what the back 9 had to offer especially after looking at the nice course guide. We walk into the pro shop, their is no one at the front desk which isn't unusual for a smaller courses. The issue was, the guy who was supposed to help us was sleeping on a row of chairs to the room on the right. The door closing woke him up. He came to the front with his hair messy and asked what we wanted. We told him we were here for 18 and had a tee off time. He said it would be 44.95 (at this point i thought it was weird as it was only 19.xx for 9 + a cart) But was eager to play so didn't hesitate to pay. After paying we hopped on our cart and went to the car to get our clubs. My friend paid 44.95 as the gentleman said. I however paid 49.95. I figured he miss clicked or something as he had just woken up from who knows how long of a nap. So I walked back in and asked about it. The man was then rude. and said well someone owes me 5 bucks. I screwed up. At the same time he was taking a personal call and yelling about some hot tub. I only it assume it was his wife or kids. Very unprofessional. I then asked why it was so much more when 9 holes was only 12.99 + a cart. and 18 ends up being 49.95 with a cart. I asked if we could just do 9 holes twice. He said he didn't punch it in that way. I was very angry and walked out. My friend agreed to go back in and pay the extra 5 dollars on debit. causing him another transaction fee. The person i was dealing with this time was the exact opposite of the kind fellow from the first time we went. I was shocked! I was hoping to see the first staff member who gave me the deal on the shirt (see below) Needless to say I will not be going back to this course after being told someone owes 5 dollars on his mistake, when it would of been CHEAPER even with the 5 dollars to do 9 holes twice. This staff member ruined my experience with the course. Everyone else is great. Below is my first review. Went back for the full 18. and had a Very unpleasant experience, if it wasn't for my friend really wanting to golf I would have left the course and gone home. Great staff.(minus one) Answered all questions. Even gave me a deal on one of the nice shirts in the pro-shop. (50$ for 9 holes a cart and a shirt!) Carts are really nice. They even have a really handy course guide with nice layouts of all holes. Cheap nights on mom and Tuesday. Going back for the back 9 today. Did the front 9 yesterday. Very nice course. Impressed.

Old local course from the early 1900s. Very friendly staff and nice carts. Small pro shop but they had some clothes and clubs for sale. Course was in good shape considering the rain. Different designer for each 9. Enjoyed front a little more. Great value. Was $30 with cart in early spring

You will not find a better course for the price! Very challenging, excellent staff, and always in excellent condition. It is a must, to try this course.
