The only reason I am giving one star is because of Christine. She has always been very pleasant and professional. Also, I have to leave some sort of rating in order to leave a review. Went to physio last night (Valentines Day) and started with Christine. Things were going well and she was nothing but pleasant with me. We started with some neck exercises in the back and then moved to the hall to do some stuff using the wall. I asked Christine a question and before she could even reply, Ellen overheard and jumped in on the conversation and basically lectured me about the importance of keeping my appointments. She also harped on me about my significant other and asked me what the point was to me coming back if I have had to cancel some appointments (due to illness, working late, flat tire, etc.) and he doesn't have great availability (he worked as a plumber's assistant and worked long hours and never knew when he was working and now he is in school full time) I told her I do understand the importance of keeping appointments as I too am in the health field however, she needs to understand she does not know everything about a patients life and sometimes things come up. Also, all my appointments were made for me on day one (wasn't even asked if they worked for me or not). She came off in a very attacking way and made me feel as though we both were not welcome there anymore. I remained calm and told her I apologize and understand how she may be frustrated but things come up. She then proceeded to tell me that if I don't show up for my appointment then she doesn't get paid. The clinic has money coming in and she would get paid from that income. Not solely just from the money I bring to the clinic. I told her I would just put things on hold than. She then continued on for another 10 minutes even though I had already apologized and told her I understand. Eventually I had enough and told her (fighting back tears) that this conversation should have been done with 10 minutes ago when I apologized and told her I understand. I told her it was Valentines Day and that she was putting a damper on my day. The whole time remaining professional about it. Seeing how she was the one I was to have my next part of physio with - and I was pretty much crying at this point as she made me feel like a horrible person for things that are beyond my control - I then told her that I think I was just going to go. I left and even as I left I still said "Thank you". She made me feel as though I was not welcome. As if I did not care about my injuries. Meanwhile she has no idea what it takes to cancel an appointment knowing I am in pain. And the fact that she was lecturing me about my significant other just because he does not have great availability because he worked so much - I guess that means we don't care and don't want to get better. She was lecturing me in their little hallway and I am pretty sure it was just me, Christine and her (Ellen) there at that point so I felt cornered and harassed (only when she carried on and on and on after I had already apologized for having to miss some appointments and the fact that I felt bullied as it was technically two staff against just me and no one else around) and I left in tears.
