This gym is one of the best fitness gyms in Burlington if you are looking exclusively at gym amenities. It has an amazing selection of free weights including a dumbbell rack that goes up to 140lbs and a huge selection of different bars ie. yoke, hex, log, farmer carries etc. and old but great machines like a donkey calf raise along with some more modern, functional equipment like a strip of astroturf and sled, kettlebells, olympic rings etc. It also has all of the essential cardio machines, spin class room and zumba style studio with a lot of open space along with a sauna. It does look pretty rough with a weird smell and washrooms that are falling apart but in the end, its a gym, not a hotel. Ultimately, the volume and variety of equipment at your disposal here that is very hard to come by in a gym when the market is saturated with uninspiring, big box gyms full of cardio equipment is refreshing.

Awesome fitness classes! If your looking for a good sweat the instructors here will not leave you disappointed. The tennis programs are the best in Burlington.

Really friendly front desk staff, not crowded and very clean. Really interested to see the updates that are coming and if that will include new equipment in the weight room area.

Really friendly staff and has everything you could want in a fitness facility! Very glad I made the switch from a discount gym. I think BFRC is just what I need to take my fitness journey to the next level.

So, since this place was finally sold to new management, there were promises of “million dollar renovations” that were supposed to transform this creaky, dying old gym into a modern, updated fitness mecca. We have been waiting and so far, very little has changed, either with the building itself, the two aging spinster sisters, Christine and Marianne who run the same old dated classes or the lack of amenities. And now we see Christine is submitting glowing online reviews on herself. Isn’t this a conflict of interest? Time to move on and with a bright beautiful new facility coming soon to a north end mall our time at this place is coming to a long overdue end.
